Womens Gymnastics Team
I know this is a basketball/football board but I thought a performance like they had should at least get some mention. They won the MAC championship today by almost 2.00 points over the second place team. For those not familiar with gymnastics that's akin to the basketballs team win over St. Louis. Special kudos to three of the seniors Kristen Peters, Jill Kowalski and Amy Preslan. They have been a pleasure to watch the last 4 years. I especially admire Preslan who for some strange reason came to Kent from Scottsdale Arizona. God knows why. I have been going to meets for 20 years and this was the best and deepest TEAM I have ever seen. They have plenty coming back next year including a dynamite freshman Christina Lenny. Congratulations.

Burden-
Thanks for the update. It's good for us to be reminded that there are other successful athletic programs at KSU.
Did I hear you on WNIR this morning?

Hey, keep updating us with any Kent sports news, regardless of what it is. Cross country, golf, wrestling, anything. It all goes into the argument I have with my son and others about how strong Kent's athletics is.
Do we have an archery team? I was on that and we blew back in the early 80's.

RE: Womens Gymnastics Team
If anybody is interested the MAC tournament is on Sporttime this week. Wed and Friday at noon, Thursday at 6 and Saturday at 2:30PM. I was waiting for this to happen. I was really suprised they were not at Kent for the wrestling championships. It seems like pretty good programming for a station that shows the Indians games 4 times a day. I would think this type of programming at all the area universities would be a cheap way for them to have some different types of shows. It's good PR for Kent and gives some of these athletes a little bit of publicity.
