How many scholarships are available in 2009? There are at least 41 offers out there just from the players listed in this thread.

Well, many of those 41 offers will accept scholies at BCS schools although we hope to get a few. I think EMU generally many offer as many 80 scholies each recruiting year with the usual class size of 20-25 and most Division I football schools do the same thing.

Rivals reports EMU along with Akron and Temple have offered Devon Smith a 5'5, 140 lb athlete from Waldorf, MD.

Two more Michah Hyde a 6'1 QB from Fostoria OH and Alex Smith a three star LB from Barrington IL 6'3, 225 are the latest according to Rivals to receive offers from EMU.

Scout.com is reporting EMU has offered 6'3 WR Devin Street from Bethlehem PA.

Scout.com shows EMU offering John Wetzel a 6'7 OL from Pittsburgh, PA.

Genyk said they have 49 offers out there.

Actually I haven't been tracking the numbers. There are a few of the offers who have verballed to other schools, I'm sure Coach Genyk is aware of those unfortunately. I report from the scouting services ie Scout and Rivals. How accurate they are remains to be seen. What I am more interested in the number of football scholies we have to give in the upcoming February 2009 class.
