Why no IPF for UB?
UB is in a unique position in this conference in that your program is the only publicly funded university in your state that plays D1A football. All the rest of us are 3rd,4th, 5th and 6th banana 02-13-banana in our respective states.
Erie CC has some great facilities for ice hockey, swimming, etc. UB's recruiting for all outdoor sports would improve dramatically with an IPF. Are there any plans or efforts to get one built?

RE: Why no IPF for UB?
There are indeed plans for an IPF, adjacent to the north end of the stadium behind the scoreboard. It is one part of a general campus improvement plan entitled UB2020. Plans and renderings are available, and fund raising is underway. The biggest hurdle now is the state budget. Gov Paterson has pretty much said the state is bankrupt and all discretionary spending will be drastically cut back. That announcement came before the market crashed, things are looking even more dire now. As far as I know, the project has been placed in limbo short of a tremendous private endowment.
