RE: Your Top 10 Movies
I'm not a big movie guy, but any time the following two movies are on TV, I am watching them begining to end

16 Candles
Alien

And recently, I would really recommend the movie Sunshine http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0448134/

But ignore the ending, it's bad. The first hour or so is just awesome edge of seat in an intellectual and jump out of your skin way...

I should have included on my top ten list - now growing to 20- 2001 Odyssey and Raiders of Lost Ark .

Don't laff @ another : Virginia Wolfe. It was almost like watching my dysfunctional parents.
_______________

Laurel & Hardy pretty good but Stooges reign.

RE: Your Top 10 Movies
My reply matches my age, cultural illiteracy and disdain for most movies the last 20 years.
{BTW: I realized after drafting this post #33 that this is a recyled thread and I first replied in post #11 . My update below is both similar yet somewhat different than my post #11}

I have seen so few of the movies listed above. Maybe countable on one, certainly two hands.

From those movies above I have ONLY seen and which might make my top ten list * - plus if I gave it alot more thought, research and went way back to truly ID a list 65 years in the making it mite look something like this.

Star Wars series - I did not like all the sequels/prequels equally *
Titans*
Cousin Vinny
Rudy
Wall Street*
Blues Brothers*

Missing from the lists & posts above thus far for me are:

Godfather
Guess who's coming to dinner
North by Northwest
Butch Cassidy
Meet the Parents/Fockers
Rocky I
Sting
Lost Ark
Home Alone
Toy Story - (Stinky Pete)
____________________

I researched before posting this a review online for movie lists by box office returns or top 500 movies all times . I would be hard pressed to identify 50 of the 500 movies listed as ones I have watched. Sad - hey?

I am a movie tard.

this is a pretty good list esp. the 1st two on the list. Jolie ruined Changeling and I didn't like Slumdog and Taken was so annoying.
I would recommend some of these from the last 12 months that aren't on the list.
The Wrestler- Mickey Rourke was robbed.
The Fall- visually stunning
Vicky Christina Barcelona- Penelope Cruz and Scarlett Johansson makeout anyone??
Frost/Nixon
Role Models
Death At A Funeral

Thanks a lot, this is what I was looking for.

I don't want to turn this into a big debate, but what was it about Taken that you found so annoying?
