Kentucky Over Villanova?
I don't have the time or desire to analyze every single bubble team out there, but can anybody really make a strong argument for why Kentucky should get in over Villanova if for argument sake there was a single spot open?
Villanova is higher in the RPI, has 20 wins overall, more Top 100 RPI wins, finished 6-4 down the stretch and has a respectable 8-9 road/neutral record on top of that.

RE: Kentucky Over Villanova?
If I understand it correctly 6 of the 10 members on the selection committee are from non-BCS conferences.
I would not be surprised if ISU/So. Ala/VCU/UMASS/Dayton or even New Mexico make it over tOSU/UK.
It may or may not be right, but the selection comittee does some crazy things sometimes.
A couple years ago we got screwed so a team like Air Force could get in.
It didn't make much sense then...hell, I still scratch my head over it, but it happend.
In conclusion....who knows what will happen. We'll see...

..
There is no way pUKe or tOSU get screwed by the NCAA. Now, Cleveland State or Akron may get screwed as their surrogates.

Some plyaers from Air force didn't even watch the show because they felt they had no chance to get in. Air Force's athletic director is also on the selection committee

RE: Kentucky Over Villanova?
The Air Force and Utah State picks are the two most inexplicable picks in the history of the NCAA tourney.
VCU and South Alabama can make very strong, compelling cases for getting an NCAA bid. Illinois State, Dayton and New Mexico probably did not do enough to deserve a bid...but as I examined the NCAA bubble they were a ton closer than I thought they were. None of those teams would be as underserving as Utah State and Air Force two years ago. To this day choosing those two teams absolutely baffles me. A much more deserving mid-major that actually had some quality wins in Missouri State was a far better team that did far more to warrant a bid was left out. They became the highest rated RPI team in NCAA history to not get a bid. And of course there was UC.
I have Villanova in over UK (not saying that is how it will go, but believe they have done more)... However, I have UK in as well as my last team in. Truth be told this is the weakest selection of bubbles teams I can remember. I have Ohio State out, they are one of my last 4 out.

I agree. It's cool that the lil guys out west were getting some attention and props...good for them...but neither team had any business being in the NCAA tourny at Cincy's or MSU's expense.
