Heard this mentioned yesterday on the radio news as getting ready for construction near the port, anyone know any specifics?

Yeah, its going to be beside the convention center, for those familiar with Mobile...beside the Cooper Riverside Park.

Water Street Landing, to be located at the base of Government Street, is expected to consist of three condominium towers, a retail complex of shops and restaurants, and an Amtrak train station.

Except that Mobile is just too damn hot.

thats not a good idea because after the bush administration is through with amtrak there will be no amtrak.

Why does Bush care about that? If Amtrak goes in the red that is the CEO of Amtrak's problem, not GWB's.

WTF, who would buy a 70MM condo in Mobile? I don't think you could sell ten 7MM condo's much less one 70mm unit.

I wonder if the plans for this condo are now scrapped? I can't imagine how expensive it will now be to insure property like this on the proposed location.
