Obama adviser resigns
Here is why she had to resign...

"She is a monster, too — that is off the record — she is stooping to anything," The Scotsman quoted her as saying.

I work in media, and anything that is said "off the record" is supposed to be OFF THE RECORD. Whoever printed this has no ethics.

I agree that lady from the paper should not have printed it after she said it was off the record. Having said that, the advisor really shouldn't have said that(even if it is true) in the first place and definately shouldn't take for granted the paper wouldn't print it.

Hardball had the reporter on yesterday. She said that the two agreed at the beginning of the interview that everything from that point on was on the record. Matthews seemed to agree that the reporter had the right to publish the comments.

The media is supposed to be watchdog of the government...But...This situation falls more into the realm of ethical conduct...I know very little about this reporter but she should be subjected to ostrasicm by those that she wishes to interview because she was unethical in her behavior...If she cant obtain interviews...she will lose her job in the free market to another reporter who has shown virtue...As it should be ...in a free market society.

That is true. Journalism is a business, and she's(and the newspaper) going to have a harder time interviewing anyone from this point on. Then again, journalism is a business. You gotta take some risks to succeed.

Whatever. If it would have been about Bush, or ANY conservative, you would have said it was all about "getting the word out to the people".

Be consistent. ....then again, you're a liberal and it's impossible.
