I am not going to call him an "Uncle Tom" because it wasn't that type of article. I will say that he is proving the "crab theory" about black people is correct.

I hate to say this, but a lot of the views that he voiced in the clip, I have heard many black people say. Most of them just say it private and not on the pulpit.

Obama's brilliant bad speech

Quote:Just maybe more progress will be made if average, fair-minded, decent people simply chose not to associate with -- and lend their credibility to -- haters, extremists or sowers of racial discord. Obama could have taken that simple path any time over the last 20 years. He chose not to. Now it's too late.

I work with a number of lower to middle class black men...and speak freely with them on most issues...It suprised me to find that several of them dont support Obama because they feel that the country is not ready for a black president....I dont quite understand.

What can't you understand? Do you read and/or post on this board on a regular occasion? That's your answer right there.

I'd vote for Thomas Sowell over any of the Republican candidates for the last 16 years. Any of'em.

Actually...further discussion this morning with several of them on this topic...It seems that the fear of having a black President "fail" may be the reason.

ditto, or atleast as a chief adviser to a potus.

reading David Mamet's piece, "Why I'm no longer a brain dead liberal"

http://www.villagevoice.com/news/0811,wh...064,1.html

It was nice to see him refer to Sowell as "our greatest contemporary philosopher".
