My second comment "Guess your right if you are a BG fan" is also 100% right, BG has no hope at a tourney unless they win the MAC tournament, so go waste your time on somebody else or somewhere else McFly!

And yes BG (like 10 of the 12 teams in the MAC) has no shot at an NCAA bid without winning the tourney, so what exactly is your point Biff?

I believe and our womens' coaches believe that we need to win the MAC tourney to go to the NCAA's. If they lose, they are not holding their breath for an NCAA bid. If our women lose in the tourney, what will the selection committee see?

POSITIVE: BGSU has been to the tournament three straight years and made the Sweet 16 last year; look at what they did after losing the six seniors from last year

NEGATIVE: BGSU has been to the tournament three straight years and only has last years Sweet 16 run to show for the appearances

I think Kent had a great season. But my feeling TODAY is the same as my feeling the first day of the season (every season) - if you are a MAC team and want to go to the dance, you have to win the tourney championship.

You see the glass full instead of half empty. I see a glass that is dirty either way you look at it and will need to be washed.

I'll chime in about the NIT.

I don't think it is a "Loser's Tourney" at all. It's a chance to keep playing, right?

As far as BG? I don't think we'll win the MAC Tourney but could pull a surprise or two. We are easily 2 years away from being a strong contender for the MAC title. But Coach Orr is on the right track so far.

It seems that after the Miami win we aren't in such a bad position to still see that at-large bid. Most of the experts around the country still have us squarely on the good side of the bubble. Even CBS Sportsline has us in the tournament and they are seemingly against anything to do with the MAC. Gary Parrish had a heart attack over KSU receiving votes earlier this season. So you can feel like what you want, if there is any chance of the MAC getting more than one team in, it would be this season.

A "fish in the barrel" prediction from the beginning of the season isn't really something to use as an argument at this point. At this point it would probably be just as productive to watch and see.

See the world through a BUGS' fans eyes. They couldn't get it done so NO ONE in the MAC can get it done. Don't bother them with facts.

When did any BG fan say that two or three MAC teams do not deserve to be in the NCAA tourney?

I think Kent and Miami should get an invite regardless of who wins the MAC tournament.

The stark reality of the money grabbers at the NCAA tournament is that it just is not going to happen. Period!

If we A) beat Akron, or B) Go to the MAC finals, we are in. Period. But, I'd like to win the MAC Tourney anyways, why not? Higher seed, tourney champs, rush the floor!

I concur KSU will be in if they can beat Akron

-RPI in the top 40

If KSU makes the MAC finals but loses to Akron, its the same thing

-RPI in the top 40

If KSU makes the MAC semifinals but loses to Akron
-KSU MAC regular season champs
-8-4 record in last 12 games
-RPI in the top 45

If KSU makes the MAC quarterfinals but loses to Akron
-KSU MAC regular season champs
-8-4 record in last 12 games
-RPI in the top 45

KSU is probably in no matter what happens with a MAC regular season championship and a solid performance in last 12 games.

Kent St is a lock for a bid as long as the don't lose in the quarterfinals. RPI is now 27! Should be good tournament!
