Bring on Kelvin Sampson
Five losing seasons in a row and a main stay in the bottom half of the conference standings year in/year out. Laing's style of play isn't working and he is not able to recruit players to rise above mediocrity. I say bring on Kelvin, big name, local guy (I believe from Lumberton, NC) will have no big time program to go to after IU gets rid of him. He will need a place like CU to mend his phone abusing ways. He can recruit, has a winnable system and can put butts in the seats which will be needed once the new arena opens.

He just signed an extension. I like Laing, I believe in him. I hope for a turn around soon

Unless he signed another extension, heaven forbid, the last extension was two years ago. Keep hoping for that turn around, oh and I guess this is where we start talking about next year.

Ya'lll are crazy if you think that Sampson is going to coach at a low major like Mercer or Campbell. He is going to go into TV for several years, and then see if he can get a shot again once all of this has died down. Coaching at a low-major for pennies on the dollar what he can make in TV isn't going to happen :) Would be good for the league though. I always wonder what some of those big time coaches would do with a recruiting BUDGET and the liabilities that come with coaching for a smaller school :) Good luck acquiring him! :)

Obviously it would never happen and I am not so sure he is going to land on TV either. He may need a cooling off period of a year before he gets on the tube. Ultimately he will land a new gig in basketball and all will be forgotten.
