I was directed over here from the Scout board which I understand is rarely used.

I just want to add my condolences and prayers to all the grieving loveones, friends, students and alumni of NIU. When I first heard of the shootings on your campus, the memories of less than a year ago came flooding back to me. I and my fellow members of the Hokie Nation can well understand what you are going through right now.

However, just as we as a community were able to pull through, with the help and support of all the universities and schools through the country, I know that you, the Huskie Nation, will also be able to rally, become closer as a community and pull through these dark times.

To paraphrase our own Professor Nikki Giovanni who said, "WE will prevail, we WILL prevail, we will PREVAIL, we are VA TECH."

"YOU will prevail, you WILL prevail, you will PREVAIL. You are NIU."
