Sad commentary. I was shocked on the NIU boards to see posts saying "arm all students" and others saying "get rid of all guns" and the real champs "How will this affect our footbal team?" Most of these posters had just come from a Sensitivity Workshop, I suspect. None of those quite acheive the level of classiness of the GHF boys and girls though.

This is the most worthless group of people on the planet. The Republican Party should be proud of themselves to be associated w/ an organization like this one.

They were also going to picket the memorial outside of Heath Ledger's apartment.

These guys only show up to a third of the things thay say they will.

The entire "church" is one family, and they're all lawyers, each and every one.

They use these things to try to get people to beat them up so they can sue. That's how they make a living.

Best thing you can do is ignore them, or get somebody else to keep tem in line for you (i.e. local biker gang).

Republican party isn't associated with that group. That's an incorrect statement. Democratic Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia was a former member of the KKK. For many years the Democratic party has let that guy get re-elected with a "D" next to his name. That is much closer association of hate mongering and being an elected member of a national political party.

The Republican Party continuously proposes law & amendments to discriminate against gay people. Groups like this one are a part of the Christian Right, which is the backbone of the Republican Party. They go hand in hand.

BTW, Robert Byrd has apologized on many occasions for his involvement w/ the KKK.

I'm a Christian and can't stand that group. They don't represent my views. That press release is beyond comprehension because that isn't the God I know and serve.

You cannot link Fred Phelps and the Westboro Church to the Republican party...Phelps has run for public office on several occasions as Democrat. He's also championed the cause of folks like Saddham Hussein and Fidel Castro... The "Church" is a collection of very sick people who's idiocy transcends the boundaries of the ordinary, run of the mill political stupidity.
