RE: McCain's VP
another name is Alaska Gov. Sara Palin....for a politician she's eye candy.

Sanford sounds like an excellent pick however. They need to leave Demint in the Senate, where he's needed.

JC Watts would be good if Hillary is nominee, he's qualified and strategically he could pick up some black votes that are pissed at Hillary. Of course a Hillary/Obama ticket or obama/hillary would make that moot probably.

According to some sources here in the state of Alabama, one being his niece, Gov. Bob Riley is also a candidate, but I don't know how much weight I'd put with it.

My first choice now would be Sanford, with Thompson or Watts a close second.

RE: McCain's VP
Sanford won't happen. If he would of got behind anybody it would have been Ron Paul. They were often the only ones voting for or against bills in the House when they were both serving. Ron and him are personal friends and they talked several times during the campaign season, but Sanford's policy was to endorse nobody.

I would much prefer Sanford run for President himself anyway than be a Veep on a ticket destined for destruction if Obama wins the Dem nomination.

I hope Sanford runs against Lindsey Grahamnesty next time...

However, with McCain he will pull something crazy to placate the "social conservatives" since they are ones screaming the loudest... it very well may be Huckabee 03-hissyfit

Not happening. While there are a few people lining up to run against Graham, nobody has any real financial traction needed to take on Lindsey's **MASSIVE** warchest.

The Greenville County GOP did censure Graham ..... and the Spartanburg County GOP was one vote off (I was one of the committeemen voting to censure him). Greenville and Spartanburg make up nearly 1/2 of all GOP votes in a SC statewide election.

RE: McCain's VP
Texas Gov. Rick Perry... a/k/a "Gov. Goodhair" hired a political consultant and did a poll at the CPAC conference last week about his impact as a VP nominee..

He came in LAST PLACE

This was AFTER Perry called Huckabee and asked him to drop out "for the good of the party"....
