Today's Sagarin
Conferences:

10 HORIZON
11 CONFERENCE USA
12 MID-AMERICAN
13 SOUTHERN
14 WEST COAST
15 COLONIAL
16 WESTERN ATHLETIC
17 BIG WEST
18 METRO ATLANTIC
19 SUN BELT
20 SUMMIT LEAGUE
21 PATRIOT
22 BIG SKY
23 SOUTHLAND
24 BIG SOUTH
25 NORTHEAST
26 IVY LEAGUE
27 AMERICA EAST
28 ATLANTIC SUN
29 OHIO VALLEY
30 MID-EASTERN
31 INDEPENDENTS
32 SOUTHWESTERN

Combined ASun/Southern Schools:

38 Davidson
103 NC Greensboro
111 Appalachian State
116 Georgia Southern
121 Chattanooga
146 East Tennessee State
149 Belmont
168 Wofford
171 College of Charleston
188 Jacksonville
238 Elon
240 Lipscomb
243 Gardner-Webb
264 Western Carolina
272 Mercer
279 Stetson
280 Campbell
291 Florida Gulf Coast
301 USC Upstate
312 Furman
325 Kennesaw State
329 Citadel
340 North Florida(UNF)

I think this shows that the ASun schools could compete in the Southern. According to Sagarin, ETSU and Belmont would be 6th and 7th in the Southern, very respectable. Plus, our conference leader (Jacksonville), would be a very impressive 10th in the Southern.

Interesting that Elon, a favorite pick-on of ASun fans, is ranked above Lipscomb in this week's poll.

It's understandable that the Southern allows The Citadel to remain in their conference. After all, their players serve their country in the Navy after their basketball careers. Kennesaw's players...well, that's another story.

I know the popular vote for ETSU is to go to the Ohio Valley.... why don't you guys go for the gold and move all the way down to the Southwestern. Sure you're not near anyone in the conference, but that's not important!

Good one, Merc.

But the popular vote is to GET BACK TO THE SOUTHERN WHERE WE BELONG!

Unfortunately, that's not going to happen.

KSU alums serve the best delivery pizzas, though their work on the widening of I-75 is something to be desired. If they would just listen to the Ga. Tech alums all would be better.
I think The Citadel might actually have the youngest team in the nation. Still better than North Florida.
I also think it's funny that Western is rated higher than half the conference, oh those crazy Catamounts.

It's prolly the people with the tech engineering degrees calling the shots for the kennesaw 75 expansion which the damn stripes washed away last week and someone runs off the no-shoulder at least 3 times a day... it's a disaster.

not much of a difference. I thought the Southern was up there with the Big East and ACC?

We are allowed to eat pizza because our alumni still have the majority of their teeth in tact.
