03-banghead I hate to say it. but as my wife (a Georgia Tech grad) put it...

"If Hillary is President, she will sign EVERY crazy thing coming out of a Democrat controlled Congress....

If McCain is President, he MIGHT veto SOME of the crazy things coming out of a Democrat controlled Congress....

Just vote for McCain and pray that he is too exhausted for a second term. The Nation survived 1 term of Jimmy Carter, it would survive 1 term of John McCain."

We have to face facts the Democrats will likely pick up another 20 -25 house seats. The Senate is really scary with all the Republicans retiring can the Democrats hit the magic 60? Hillary is liberal, but Obama is the MOST liberal senator right now. Either of those two as president unchecked due to Democrats controlling everything is about as bad as it could get.

True...but you have to break down the Senate vote... How likely is a 60 member Democrat Senate if McCain wins the Presidency?

I’d say maybe a 54-46 majority with a new “Republican” (RINO) President…

I’ll give you a minimum 25 member House Democratic Majority…and even an additional loss of 7-10 Republican seats is possible…

But that still can’t dump a Presidential Veto.

You need 67 to dump a Presidential Veto in the Senate.

No way that will happen..

And for my "November Surprise" Prediction.. (No October Surprise, for maximum dramatic value)

A confirmed kill of either Bin Laden or Ahman al-Zawahri by election day November, 2008

03-lmfao Man, what the hell happened to you in WV? I know Marshall isn't exactly highly regarded for its education but there has to be something else? Can you please explain to us how Bush was any different? He passed everything that he was given from Congress when the Repugs we in power and only started to do so when Democrats got control.

RE: Interesting commentary from Orange Co. Newspaper
I'm becoming more and more convinced that Hillary Clinton is the tough medicine this nation needs to wake the f*** up.

Ron Paul is now THE ONLY small government person running.
Ron Paul is now THE ONLY fiscal conservative running.
Ron Paul is now THE ONLY person running with a conservative foreign policy like Dubya ran on in 2000.
Ron Paul is now THE ONLY anti-illegal immigration person running.

And what do establishment Republicans do with Ron Paul? Treat him he has a disease.

Hillary Clinton may just be what the doctor ordered to remind this country what sensible conservative government use to be.

I would vote for Ron Paul except for one major downfall. His position on the war of terror. I don't believe Ron Paul understands the real threat that Islamic Fascists have on the world and he won't do what's necessary to dela with it. That's why my vote will be going to Mit Romney. He is the closest there is to a true Reagan conservative.

Come on. The least you could do is hope for Obama. At least his insurance plan doesn't force you to pay for insurance if you don't want it. What do you think will happen when she tries to deal with middle East countries? They tend to have a negative view of women in power so how much can she really get done? He may also get some respect because his father was a Muslim(even though he isn't) so they may be more willing to deal with him. Of course, Israel may not like that. 03-wink
