CU Basketball Crooks
Interesting how the article never mentions that Ruell is part of the mens basketball team. There will be at least one and maybe two more former/current players arrested.

Two More Suspects Arrested In Dorm Thefts
A fifth suspect wanted, sheriff says.

Two more suspects have been arrested in a burglary ring which struck Campbell University student housing during the Christmas holidays.

Ruell Dajon Pringle, 21, of a Leslie Campbell Avenue apartment in Buies Creek is charged with 12 felony counts of breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods.

Mr. Pringle, described in his arrest report as unemployed, was arrested at Campbell University. He is being held in the Harnett County Jail on $100,000 bond.

Also arrested was Rashad Jamal Rolle, 24, of Basking Ridge Drive, Fayetteville. He is also charged with 12 felony counts of breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods.

According to the arrest report, Mr. Rolle is employed as a selector at the Food Lion Distribution Center in Dunn. He turned himself into the sheriff's office, was arrested and held in the Harnett County Jail on $20,000 bond.

Arrested earlier in the case were Terrance Jerel Moore, 21, and 22-year-old Leslie Herman Gaitor, both of Main Street in Buies Creek.

They have both also been charged with 12 felony counts each of breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods.

Mr. Moore was held in the Harnett County Jail on $75,000 bond. Mr. Gaitor was held on $35,000.

Mr. Moore was employed as a cook at the Chick-fil-A on the Campbell University campus, which is run by the Aramark food management company. Mr. Gaitor was listed as unemployed.

Sheriff Rollins said he expects to make one more arrest but offered no details.

He said all of the suspects in the case except Mr. Moore are former Campbell students. Most of the burglaries took place in Bob Barker Hall, he said, the university's newest residence hall which contains 75 suites and apartments.

At Campbell, students and employees must use a swipe card to enter Bob Barker Hall and other campus housing. The building was apparently occupied over the holidays.

"Unlike the traditional residence halls, Barker Hall does not close over holidays or school breaks," Dr. John Roberson, Campbell's vice president for marketing and planning, said. "Therefore, it is reasonable to think students were in the apartment/suite complex."

Neither the university nor sheriff's office will comment on how the alleged burglars may have obtained a swipe card to enter the building.

Mr. Pringle and Mr. Gaitor are next due in court appearance on Jan. 29; Mr. Moore's next court appearance is Jan. 22 and Mr. Rolle's next court appearance is Feb. 26, all in District Court in Lillington.

I thought he was officially off the team now. I know he left the team for personal reasons. Guess we found out what those personal reasons were. I was questioning why Coach Lang did not try and keep Ruell on the team. I guess I know why now. The coach did the right thing in my opinion.

Any ideas on who the other player or players might be.

RE: CU Basketball Crooks
Jake had to sit these last two games out because of his involvement with the campus theft. As I understand it Jake found the "key" that was left in a door which turned out to be a master key. He gave the key to Eric Smith, who was around last semester finishing up his course work for his degree. From there it went to the rest of those involved including Ruell. Jakes involvement was passing on the key. I understand Eric will be arrested but don't know if Jake will have additional problems with the law.

RE: CU Basketball Crooks
I listened to Robbie on the radio after Saturday's game and from what he said Jake will be out for at least one more game. Has anyone heard anything different?

I hate that these guys made such a stupid mistake! I really hate it!

From what I heard that Wallace was looking to kick Jake out but Robbie had to fight for him to even stay on the team.

Ugh, wtf is wrong with our guys.

Don't know all the details but apparently all charges against Ruell will be dropped and he will be able to attend classes again beginning this fall. I don't know what his status is on the basketball team. Stay tuned.
