Question: Where did you go after Fiesta Bowl win?
I was just talking to a UofF neighbor who was telling me that the University of Phoenix Stadium (site of the Fiesta Bowl and BCS Championship game) was about a 45-minute drive to downtown restaurants. In fact one of his buddies ran out of gas after the Gators beat the Buckeyes in the BCS Championship game.

Was ASU's stadium ever considered for the Fiesta Bowl? Is television calling the shots? And what did all the Bronco fans do after they spanked the Sooners?

Went straight to the parking lot to tailgate some more. Wanted to be with 81, OB and our other Bronco brothers. That is after they kicked us out of the stadium so they could clean up. We didn't want to leave!

This was the 1st year it was in the new stadium and it had been at ASU's stadium each year before. Both are nice stadiums but it was awesome to be in the UofPhoenix stadium.

And it was an experience of a lifetime. Took my wife and 2 kids and they still say it was one of their alltime favorite trips (including DisneyWorld, etc) .

They had the Insight Bowl at Sun Devil Stadium this year after playing it the past few years at the Diamondbacks' ballpark.

I actually went to U of P stadium last month (USA v Mexico in "Futbol")

Come July, there will be some decent bus service to the area. Trying to navigate that last month was a nightmare... and I already knew I had to do some walking on the way back to town.

If memory serves, only 30% of the seats at Sun Devil are "between the 20s." Stadium-wise, it's not even close, the new stadium is wonderful. Site-wise... let's just say that this old divorced coot had too much fun walking around the ASU campus.

ASU stadium vs U of Phoenix stadium
A divorced "old coot" should hang around my local public golf course here on the central coast. There is always a covy of coots by the 2nd tee.

Glad to see they were using Sun Devil stadium for a post season game this year. Living near a college campus helps keep your heart pumping a little faster even if you are happily married.

Who will be the first person to open a restaurant out by U of Phoenix Stadium? Most likely someone who only needs to work one day a week.
