Football Recruits
Does anyone know where we can follow CU's Recruiting efforts? Who they are going after and who has committed to the camels?

RE: Football Recruits
Off the top of my head....rivals.com, scout.com, and ncpreps.com might have some info.

Link to the PFL message board.........

http://pflfan.proboards26.com/index.cgi?board=general

There were 109 names on the opening day practice roster and 78 on the end-of-season scrimmage roster.

When does the "recruiting period" end? (Is that the correct term for non-scholarship schools?)

I believe the recruiting period ends next week (Feb 4-8)....not sure what particular day, though.

Haven't seen any recruit info, yet. Any idea how many we'll add?

The 2007 players' pics and bios are now posted on gocamels.com. (Huddleston's bio isn't up yet, though.)

The recruiting period doesn't end when the first National Letter of Intent is signed on Feb 6. In fact, verbal commitments (the only kind Campbell can get) can be made any time.

Programs such as Appalachian State offering athletic aid can sign players this year from Feb 6-April 1. Most will sign on the first day and get in on the Dog and Pony shows put on for the media. Nonscholarship recruits occasionally jump on the bandwagon, participating in "signing" ceremonies at high schools. If a PFL recruit signs anything, it's not binding, and it's not a NLOI recognized by the NCAA.

Late February is designated by the NCAA as a "quiet" period meaning recruiters and prospects can meet face-to-face, but only on the college campus. Guys who got stiffed on scholarships at the last minute...and people wavering on D-I walk-on opportunities...frequently make campus recruiting visits after signing day.
