Gotta like the size of the QB's on the team.

How's SW looking at QB? How's about the receiving corps?

My guesses - but you'll find far better-connected opinions on VandalVenue.

Wichman will be the starter, and will do well if the offense line gives him time to pass. Hopefully we won't see the injury problems on the line that really impacted our running and passing games last season. Brian Nooy is the surprise. Left the program after Nick Holt's second year to play for a small NAIA in Oregon (but had not yet enrolled). Returned to Idaho with the Erickson hiring, and has earned the 2nd string QB. Sounds like he's playing really, really well.

Wide receiver is looking much better than in the spring. Senior Wendell Octave seems to have really stepped up, and could/should be the go to guy. Erickson has also attracted a ton of JC and freshman walk-on's at the position that are fighting for spots. We'll be deeper and faster at the position than last year. Sounds like guys need to hold on to the ball.

Another question...who are you returning on your OL? How is that looking for the team up North?

Virtually everyone. Big Hank Therein left the team - not sure why, but he'd been considering it on and off for a while (a Tom Cable recruit. Pre-Erickson it's been a rough few years in Moscow; certainly can't blame him). However, we played so many young guys last year with the injuries that we return pretty good depth and experience. Honestly, receiver is really the only big question mark on offense (and it's obviously an important one), but guys will step up.

There's a new photo gallery on VandalVenue, with a look at Idaho's new running backs:

Offensive Line
Related to offensive line depth, here's the current depth charter on VandalVenue:

http://idaho.scout.com/3/fb2deeps.html

In particular, Nate Vanderpol at left tackle (sr), Jade Tadvick at left guard (sr), and Adam Korby (so) at center should have big seasons. Erickson has been really positive about this group. Injuries are always a concern, but the starters are very solid and depth isn't bad. Offensive line play will be improved over last season, which will cascade to the running and ultimately the passing game.
