RE: Football Stadium
Haven't heard anything new.

Haven't seen the fb stadium in several weeks....dark by the time I get down there for night basketball games. I'll check it out that 1st Sat in Jan when we play Belmont. I wish they would put a fb stadium construction cam on the internet, along with the arena cam.

Pic from 1-5-08. Gravel will be spread and leveled in preparation for the field turf installation around mid-Feb. After the field is set, dirt will be brought in to form the bowl....approx 12-15 ft high. (They hit water after digging only a few feet down.) I'm guessing the houses in the background will go. You can see how close the north endzone will be to Hwy 421.

Camelfan: agreed! I'd hate to be the car driving in SB lane of 421 when a football comes crashing through my windshield.... Glad I'll be joining you guys at the game!!

RE: Football Stadium
Gravel is now spread-out and leveled.....makes the field area look bigger (ie: big enough).

RE: Football Stadium
I will have to believe it when I see it. It still looks mighty close in my opinion. No rooom for expansion either.

Maybe I can visualize it better as it comes along. Maybe they should have put it the other way.

Who's fault was that choice? The university or the contractor.

RE: Football Stadium
Alright...the spring game is over. Let's lose those temporary bleachers and get to work on the visitor's side (home side for this year).

Hope you local posters will keep the rest of us up-to-date with what's going on this spring/summer!!

They are making some progress. Looks like they are working on the vistor permanent seating now. I got my notification of my tickets for this year.

Have you receive yours yet?

RE: Football Stadium
Got mine yesterday. camelfan, check your messages.

Looks like there are 13 rows of seats. I calculated a total of 1,013 in the permanent visitors' side (home in 08). Plus, they'll have the temp bleachers on the other side. There were 1,400 at the spring game. If they put that same number of temp bleachers on the other side, it looks like we'll have a total capacity of around 2,500 this year.

Tickets, as well as TAILGATING POLICIES, will be sent out in July!!!

I hope we have enough attendance that they will need to build more seats.
