KSU vs. Texas State
Looks like the Owls lost a heartbreaker at Texas State tonight. I just checked out the boxscore, and we got beat 82-78 in Overtime. Owls had a small lead at halftime, but it looked back and forth for the entire ballgame according the game stats. Owls just came up short.

It looks like the Owls are starting to play a little better basketball though which is encouraging. Texas State is now 6-4 and recently lost to Texas but just 15 at Texas. Not a bad team, and definitely would have been a great victory for the Owls on the road.

Stegall, Wooten, Nickerson, and Mattone all played a ton of minutes which is probably the right mix for this year's team. Those are probably our 4 best players right now regardless of the fact that they don't fit into a standard lineup.

Hopefully the Owls can get a win here soon, but more important is that they improve game by game until conference play.

Yea, I think he means Jacobs.

I was encouraged also by the battle. I think we are improving although it looks from the boxscores like Keith took a step back tonight. Stegall with 11 turnovers didn't help us either.

Our next opponent played at UCLA last night and is 3-7. I think victory is right around the corner. I know the coaches want to get 2 of 3 in Vegas. I think that is possible, but we probably won't beat Vegas. They have a really athletic team, better than Western Kentucky.

Getting a win against Eastern Illinois would be a great confidence booster. Any win on the road is huge especially when a team is struggling. I definitely meant Jacobs not Mattone. I think it is clear that Mattone is not one of our top 4 playeres right now :)

Tough game to lose but the emergence of Jacobs is always nice. He played outstanding last night. Daugherty had 9 points during the first half and thats what he finished with. I believe he came in for one minute during the entire second half. Maybe its just the rotations of this big lineup but I'd like to see him squeeze out 15-20 minutes a game.. He's a great player and Keonte continues to vanish on the court so we need some production from the guard spot (other than Wootten of course).

RE: KSU vs. Texas State
Im suprised at how well Jacobs has been so far. If he keeps improving we could finally have another weapon to go along with Stegall and Wooten. Anyone know whats up with JMac? His season high is like 11 points and before the Texas State game his minutes really seemed to be limited.. Just curious if he was a little banged up or something..
