Holy cow! Who is your cable provider? Is the Boise area still using the Bell System. J/K.

So, call you cable provider and request OLN, CSTV, and The Mtn. It will only take you a few minutes. Maybe you can get it added before Boise State gets added to the MWC. ;-)

Arkansas isn't televising that game, at least according to their website. Has something changed?

I live in the Treasure Valley and I have OLN (Direct TV) since the MWC games have been announced I have been watching OLN. One of the hunting programs was turkey hunting in Idaho, it looked pretty fun (kept wondering were they were hunting).

Unless the Nevada vs. NSU, or the CSU, game is on the OLN i'll probably not watch. I live in Maine, I can watch hunting right outside my kitchen window. I don't have any other interest in the MWC games.

Jedi!
From what I heard, they won't be using Jim Leahey and the K-5 crew in the Bama game. They will be using the Alabama announcers but, Russell Yamanoha will be joining them to give the Hawaii flavor. I think that they want him there so he can help pronounce those polynesian names that they would more than likely butcher to pieces.

That's nothing new. FSN Northwest and FSN West 2 combined last year to do a local telecast of Washington vs. UCLA. The two analysts were someone from UCLA and Sonny Sixkiller, a former UW QB I believe.

This kind of thing is going to kill CSTV. The MTN network needs to be willing to sell the rights to their games, early on, until they can get on ALL of the regional cable companies and satellites on board.

If they don't do this, teams are going to think very hard before agreeing to play in a MWC's stadium. And this applies to basketball, also. I can't wait to see more fall out there. It's just pure stubbornness, IMHO.

Now, the WAC needs to jump all over every scrap left behind. We've GOT to perform well on the field and demonstrate our value to networks.

This will be the first time since 1997 that a Boise State game will not be made available to the Boise viewership.

The fact that KTVB offered to run the entire telecast uninterrupted, allowing CSTV to run all of their own commercials, and CSTV still saying no is complete bullsh*t.

Bailey - Hawaii's going to go through the same crap when Hawaii plays at UNLV next year,

I'm going to be studying up on my html skills so I can start my "Fire Frazier" website.

Don't like the fact that my own team is going to be held hostage by CSTV. Hawaii better re-think their scheduling strategy when it comes to other mid-major conferences.

The mtn will not have enough content for any cable or satellite company in there right mind to waste space on them. What will they show? Card games at the SUB. Maybe they could have a national playoff "Go Fish" card game at BYU.

Who other than the MWC footprint gives a crap about the minor sports in MWC? Any contest that has fewer than 1000 attending in person will not be much of a TV draw. All of the good football and basketball games will be on CSTV or OLC. Leftover crap is all that will be available and not nearly enough of that to fill 24 hours a day for 365 days. Odds are that the mtn will fail as a TV network but may turn a profit as an internet provider. There only real hope is internet pay for view broadcast with cheap production costs and that may not be on more than a few hours a week due to lack of content.

If Dish and Direct TV take the bait, they will have to do the same for all of the D1A and D1AA conferences. Don't count on them going for the deal. It is only an expense for them as they do not get the ad income if there is any. Look for mtn on the internet except in limited areas. I doubt that Comcast will put mtn on all of their systems even thou it would be free to them.

I know that the MWC fans have a high opinion of the conference but the general public doesn't even know that BYU and Utah are still not in the WAC.
