Actually, hold the fort. I thought OLN was available on basic cable / satellite. But I see on Dish that it is in the highest priced package. Which means that it isn't in 70 million homes but is merely available to 70 million homes. Big difference.

Eldermars, how many of those 70 million homes is OLN actually in?

Yoda out...

Who cares how many homes it's in? There is a lot more to it than the shear numbers of homes that "CAN" get it. The home shopping network and PBS are in more homes than even ESPN, but it's wishful thinking to think that if you had your games on the HSN that millions of casual football fans are going to tune in, orknow it's there.

It might as well be on Lifetime, cuz it will be a long time before people starting thinking of OLN when they are looking for a football game (especially since BCS teams aren't going to be on that channel).

Can you honestly imagine many people outside of MWC or CUSA fans (hardcores) even knowing there was a game on. You're not going to hit it just surfing through the chanels on a Saturday unless you are already a fan of a team and you have found out by some other means that your team is playing on that channel, at that time.

The number of homes these channels are in is irrelivant because it is apples and oranges. What channel can deliver more football fans is a better question.
