5 times 0 is still 0 right?

I just hope you guys can beat the D1-aa team you play this year.

NMSU will beat SELA, and Texas Southern. And we will upset UNM in Las Cruces. I think we can be atleast 3-1 going into the Idaho game. I really feel that we have enough talent to win atleast four WAC games this year. Last year we should of beaten Idaho, and I know this year we will. We will beat Utah State, San Jose State, and Hawaii. I think we can win a fifth one against LTech, so that game should be interesting. I see us winning 7 games next year. I just have a lot of faith, and I think we filled in what we were missing last year.

I am interested to know how NMSU will beat both Tech and Hawaii. I don't doubt you are getting better but Tech and Hawaii are probably 2 of the teams in the WAC on the biggest rebound right now. By that I mean both are full of YOUNG talent. You talk about the improvements on your team but even with that I still think Tech is better on all positions and Hawaii is a better offense.

I really don't need to remind anyone of the all-time series with NMSU, nor do I need to remind anyone how Utah St has completely owned NMSU in football since 1980, or since 1990. The game, on top of that, and on top of USU beating NMSU in Las Cruces last year, will be played in Logan. If you can't beat Utah St in Las Cruces, how will you get it done in Logan. Yeah, I know, your daddy is bigger than my daddy. 03-melodramatic

Everyone thinks they can beat us on the road. :( Under the JJ era, Hawaii has actually been pretty good as a road favorite.

It's as a road underdog where Hawaii really does abominably (and probably deserves their reputation). Not only do we lose, but we often lose by like triple the spread.

What happen last year shouldn't matter what happens this year. What happen 10 years ago shouldn't effect NMSU beating Utah State in Utah. NMSU is going to look like a totally different team. New QB, New OL, and one New WR. Then the DL will be improved from last year, New LB who have a lot of speed, and our DBs should be the best we have had at NMSU in a long time. If anyone saw the spring game, then you would know this team isn't the same team from last year, and Chase Halbrook is going to break some records while at NMSU, and I'm going to say it now. He will be the best QB in the WAC this year. It might not look like it right now, but the kid has a lot of talent, and you will see that talent during the season.

Yeah, I know, your daddy is bigger than my daddy. Keep in mind, every WAC team is improving at this point. Then when they play on the field, we'll see how much they've improved, if at all. Until then we're shooting in the dark and all we have are track records to make judgements with. Up until this year, NMSU's track record hasn't been anything close to being admirable against USU.

At this point I'll judge based on what Utah St was able to do against NMSU with virtually no running game in Las Cruces. That doesn't bode well for NMSU in Logan when USU will be improved in their running game. Trust me, it makes a big difference in the running game when you've got a back that can run a 4.4 instead of a back that is lucky to run a 6.0. If you're relying on your QB to get you your rushing yards, you know you're in deep dung!

Serious? While I appreciate your unbridled enthusiasm for your team, somehow I doubt a sophomore QB from a team that went 0-12 last year will be a better QB than Jeff Rowe, Jerred Zabranski, or Colt Brennan. Not a knock on Holbrook, but he's got some dues to pay first and the WAC has at least three pretty good QBs that should be better.

If you had a chance to trade straight across for Rowe or Z in exchance for holbrook, would you take it? Yeah..I think most NMSU fans probably would. Again not a knock, just trying to look at things realistically.

Holbrook also doesn't have the supporting cast just yet to make him the best QB in the WAC.

Like I said...I appreciate the enthusiasm but take off the NMSU rose-colored glasses and look at it objectively.

What happens last year is relevent. NMSU was 0-12 last year, and while an improvement should be expected wins over Idaho and SJSU could occur, I do not see road wins against USU or home wins over both La Tech and Hawaii. As we saw last year there is a pretty big difference between the bottom 4 and the top 5. It also takes more than a year to bring in the players that fit a coaches system.

I understand we have improved dramatically all across the board in both strength and speed and have several new players/red shirts coming in that will give us big improvements in the defensive backfield and at wide receiver. Plus a much improved QB situation. Place kicking is supposed to be much improved also.

I continue to worry about our O-line and D-line. Two areas that generally take a long time to fix and that can kill you - even when everything else is in good shape.

I would guess we have the potential to finish as high as fourth - but more likely will be around 7th.

By potential do you mean if everything goes like NMSU wants it? 4th...I doubt unless NMSU gets some breaks along the way and other teams hit some very bad luck.

Like I said. NMSU will beat Idaho, Utah State, Hawaii, and San Jose State next year. We will also beat SELA, Texas Souther, and UNM. I don't care what happen last year. I don't care if you got a new RB. That I really don't care. All I know is NMSU will be the most improved team in 2006 in the WAC.

So what makes you think NMSU WILL BEAT Hawaii?..The new QB? the new WRs? the new everything?..and let's keep in mind what Hawaii doesn't have new...Hawaii returns the QB, WRs, O-line, RB, D-line, Freshman All-WAC LB, Leonard Peters (FS)..pluggin the missing holes is the question, of course being a Hawaii fan I believe we will be able to..

Most Aggie fans think NMSU will beat Hawaii in Las Cruces because Hawaii always seems to be a different team on the road. Combine that with an improved NMSU team.

That is my reasoning anyway.

Oh and to any Nevada or Utah State fans that have a grudge against NMSU for any reason this will mend the wounds.

Grudge? Why would we have a grudge? I for one am glad to see NMSU in the WAC. Just busting some Aggie chops is all...all in good fun.

However, please feel free to continue posting the pics 04-bow

Hawaii can't be all that different...Hawaii did shutout Idaho, and defeated San Jose St..You guys aren't exactly Michigan St, LaTech or Nevada..NMSU will be improved, but Hawaii will also be improved also..
