Who cares? The Heisman is way overhyped.

He'll have a collection of them before he leaves Florida.
When his career is over he will be regarded as the greatest college player in modern history.

Wasn't that the offense local SEC fans said wouldn't work in the SEC?

Wasn't that the QB that after he spurned a local college local fans said he wasn't that good and they didn't need him any way?

BTW I would have voted for Smith at UCF but I think it's funny.

I do not think Tebow will turn pro early.
He can't turn pro until after his junior year, anyway.
From everything I hear he seems to really like college and neither he nor his family really need the money.
I think he will stay all 4 years.

You think Smith will come back at UCF?

I am now a believer.....

RE: Heiseman goes to
It's just my opinion and I have no special insight ... on Smith, I think he wants to come back but will turn pro after he really thinks it over. Not much to gain and a lot to lose by coming back.

If he comes back, I think UCF starts next season in the top 25 and he will be in the top 5 for the Heisman (though Tebow obviously returns as the favorite).

If he turns pro, UCF will still be pretty good next year. They only start a handful of seniors. but Smith, obviously, is a special player.

RE: Heisman goes to
I was glad to see Tebow get the Heisman.

I like him a lot as a person, and you can't argue with the numbers he put up.

However, he better enjoy his college days...no way will he be this dominant in the NFL...if he's even a factor at all...sure, he gets drafted pretty high, but I don't see him being the next big thing in on Sundays

He will be great pro, a hall of famer.
Tebow isn't even close to being to his potential yet.
Think Steve Young, but better.

McFadden should've won. If he was on any other team besides Arkansas or if they had 2 more wins he would've won.

I think it's pretty sad that this award is more about who you play for and popularity in stead of what you actually do on the field. Don't get me wrong Tebow is a great play, I just would not have voted him #1.

To prove what a joke it is Kevin Smith did not even receive an invite. Nuff Said!

So, winning the Heisman Trophy makes Tim Tebow the most talented skill position player at a Bc$ conference school? Huzzah! Huzzah!

Maybe one day, it'll go to the best college football player in America.

Nah. Never happen.

Amazing how many folks here discount Tebow simply BECAUSE he plays for a BCS school. WAAAAAAAAAAH 03-hissyfit 03-hissyfit 03-hissyfit

Seems just as snobbish to me.

I'm not dissing Tebow. He is a phenomenal football player. I just don't care for the hype. Does Tebow deserve the hype? I don't know. I do know he's very good, but I doubt he walks on water the way the sychophants in the media would have one believe.

The fawning is getting embarrassing, frankly.

Not to pick on Tebow, by any means. Just a little while ago I watched Joe Buck all but throw Tony Romo his room key.

On the ESPN scroll, their categories: MLB, NCAAM, NCAAW, NBA, NFL, etc. are of late joinedby a new category: PATRIOTS.

I guess I just suffer from breathless superlative fatigue.

I didn't watch any part of the Heisman presentation because I didn't care about it. I would've voted for either Smith or Colt Brennan. I guess that's why I'm not a Heisman voter.

He promises that he will finish his 4 years and graduate before going pro. We'll see.
