D-fence!
Even CE has to agree that our Defense stepped up big-time yesterday. Granted Miami is not a powerful offensive team -- that's one of the reasons I thought we'd win -- but the Redhawks came in averaging 20ppg, and we held them to 10. We'll need the same kind of effort in the bowl game -- and perhaps a few tweaks, like more blitzing! -- but it appears our much-maligned "D" may finally be ready to take a step forward. 04-rock

RE: D-fence!
From my vantage point, when he was in Kennedy had a great day on the D-line y-day, freeing up the linebackers to run to the football. That was the best effort I have seen up front all year. Looking forward to seeing him for three more years.

Now don't get me started on the issue of press coverage....

Yep, Banks kept his job on this one! Great effort, I'd give them a B+ as a unit. However, for the season, a "D" in addition to probation (and that doesn't stand for "defense"). Jones, still has some things to learn. I'd give him a "C+" for the game, and a "C" for the season. He has so many weapons he's not using (I was happy to finally see the TEs in the action, albeit one catch). We accomplished more in two years than wMU has in the entire history of the MAC. In fact, (well, maybe not), the swaybacks haven't won a championship since what, the Harding administration? LOFL! Looking at other team boards, a number of them are starting to intensely dislike us, so be careful when communicating with them. Yep, Oxford Tech got ENEMAED by the best!!!

P.S. miami OF ohio, had a lot of dropped and overthrown passes, which made our stats look better. But, all in all, I was pleased with the effort and the result. I didn't get comfortable until the 8:00 minute mark in the 4th. Oh, yeah, nice goin' ESPN with the sound system. Sure you weren't putting in a new server?! @sswipes!
