Okay it’s Thursday…and we are playing for another Championship.

Miami (OH) has the “D” and we have the “O”. And what bothers me the most is that football quote…”Offense wins games and Defense wins championships”. Our defense hasn’t shown up all year and maybe they might decide to play big in front of a home crowd…I don’t know…but even the poorest offense will look decent. If we could drop the damn “Leo” and play at a high level…our defense might look okay vs. an offense that’s been struggling. Miami has depended on their defense all year and they certainly DO NOT want to get into a shoot out with us…so they might try to throw everything including the kitchen sink against our defense and we all know what that means…see EMU.

With all that said…I BELIEVE Dan Lefevour thirsts for these types of games. He’s 2-0 at Ford Field and he again will do it all by himself. It will be close throughout 3 quarters…however LeFevour decides to put the offense in high gear and the Chippewas pull off the victory in front of a home crowd.

I think if Lefevour were to keep the ball but run backwards into the endzone, he'd get extra points based on degree of difficulty.

1. It's tied up 39-39, the game goes to OT.
2. CMU scores a TD first, score 46-39
3. Miami gives up a turnover for a TD and CMU doesn't have to kick the PAT, therefore the final score would be 52-39.

I HOPE TO GOD if there is a fumble recovery or a pick that the defender who gets it falls immediately to the ground and does not try to score. If someone tries to be a glory hound just to score an extra six points, giving Miami a chance to cause a fumble and possibly score to tie it back up, I will leads the screams for removing said player, the DC, the HC and possibly the AD. I sincerely hope our guys would prefer to start celebrating instead of waiting another 10 second to see if we score.
