For those of you voting for Corso, why do you think he was worse than Sadler, who left this program in terrible shape. Corso was with us for a single season - he clearly didn't do as much damage as Sadler.

Sadler was just a bad coach and should never have been hired as a head coach. Corso didn't even last a year and as rumor had it, didn't even get a place to stay in DeKalb. Corso took over after Coach Mallory won the MAC and California Bowl. It took Jerry Pettibone several years to bring the program back up to respectability after less than one season of Corso. I do wonder if Coach Pettibbone was ready when he was first hired, but he did get up to speed quickly.

For the record, I did think Coach Pettibone was very good. It was great watching his team demolish nationally ranked Fresno State.

No disrespect to Joe intended, but I think Pettibone was the best coach in NIU history. I just wish he would have stayed here longer.

Jerry Pettibone was an excellent coach. It didn't really work for him after he left for Oregon State, but I agree, he was a very, very good coach.
