You really dont have to be like Sherlock Holmes or the Pink Panther to dig up or uncover stuff coming out of La Tech. Their "mistakes" are obvious to anyone. For example, Cox Cable televised the La Tech vs Idaho basketball game last night. Cameras CLEARLY showed red seats, area closest to the court, barely half full. There are about 2300 red seats so that would result in about 1150 fans. The blue seats, next level up, were empty. Yet, guess what, reported attendance was just over 2800. For the attendance to be 2800 the red seats would have been jam packed with an overflow.

Of course you couldnt see the "big picture" while sitting in the "crowd". Wide camera angle of entire area showed red no more than half full. Those you saw in the blue section but have been out to the potty when camera scanned the area.

Dude I was there. Red was OVER half full. The student section was mostly empty due to Quarter Break but I was shocked at the alum turnout. Why don't you look at the "big picture" and get out to the game because that is the best way to judge the crowd instead of guessing based on tv (and I was standing beside the announcers, red looked more than half full on tv)? I really think they are right that you really like NLULM...or is this Monreaux Tiger?

La Tech and its fans have an ailment called "total denial". If they could get a cure for that and realize where they actually are then maybe one could see some progress. During 2004-2005 year your total gate receipts for ALL mens home basketball games was $88,000. Assuming 13 home games & tickets at $8. then there were about 850 paid fans per game.

We know our attendance sucks but it is better than you give it credit for. Remember students get in FREE. Every school inflates their numbers a little. But there WERE atleast 2200 at the game last night.

And silence follows. Maybe you should post that at the end of all your comments so we don't get anymore geography lessons on our area.

O.K., no more geography lessons today. However, to keep me from presenting some from time to time please coach your guys to explain themselves better. Stating it is only 30 min from Ruston to Shreveport should include the fact it would need to be by plane or helecopter and not by car. A NASCAR driver could probably make the 72mi in 30 min by car but not a normal person.

Once again you fail to answer the question that we've been asking for some time. I think it's now common knowledge that you aren't a USM fan. It's fairly obvious that you hate Tech and post on any bbs board only about Tech. So, the question is, what did Tech do to you? Why do you hate Tech so much? Have trouble passing and have to go to ULM? I just wanna know where you went to school and where you live.

I'll start. My name is Jonathan Nida and I graduated from Louisiana Tech in 2004. I currently reside in Alexandria, LA. That wasn't so hard. Okay, now you go.

J, people have been asking "Eager Eagle" the troll to identify himself on sports message boards for about 4-5 years. What makes you think he will start now?

What high school's around Tech have the eagle as their mascot? I guess this guy is somebody who's pissed at the administration for firing him or something. Maybe he's a student who couldn't hack it. Either way, he's a total hack and he's not to be taken seriously. This guy has a sick vendetta against Tech that's borderline disturbing.

Thanks for the "hack" compliment. It only confirms in the eyes of every reader that you guys go completely ballistic whenever confronted with facts about your mickey mouse athletic program. Who would ever know that your average revenue for home football games was no more than $110,000 or that you took in only around $80,000 for ALL HOME games in mens basketball unless I brought it to light. A Shreveport newspaper sportswriter wrote an article not over three days ago confirming the reason why Tech schedules the body bag games. He said it plain and simple, Tech cant hack it financially without those games. Are you going to call him "sick" or a "hack"?

No moron, you're a hack because you only post about Tech. You come on this board and disguise yourself as a USM fan and all you do is post negative things about Tech. Do you think Tech fans don't know that we have a small fan base? Do you think we don't know what our athletic budget is? We know very well the areas that need work. We also know that there are positives. You seem to leave those out. Despite our budget, facilities, and fan support, we went 7-4 last year. WE went 6-6 the year before while playing 3 teams in the top 10. Yes, we've got problems, but we've got some great attributes as well. Because you've got an axe to grind, you only post when you find something negative to post. That's why you're a hack...that's why nobody resepects your posts...you're obviously biased...extremely biased. So, you can't be taken seriously.

The only thing I can find to post about La Tech are facts and it appears you think ALL of them are negative. I cant help the schools performance, changing it is not in my hands. Sure, there are some nice things. Pretty campus, small quiet town, low crime, no local tv station, no movie theatre in town, good academics, well known for womens basketball. Beyond that, the baseball team is a farce, football is break even over past ten years, basketball is above break even this year but no fan following. One bit of advice, dont let Cox Cable televise your mens basketball games, those cameras just dont pick up & show all those fans yall say are there.

They've broken ground on the Movie Theater EE. Oh, and as soon as I'm an administrator or a COX exec. I'll be sure to make them stop televising the games. You don't post the positive facts...they are out there. You don't post about our grad rates...you don't post about our ground breaking nano-tech and biomed programs...you only post the things that suit your purposes...that being tearing Tech down.

Sure, sure. Lets start a big discussion about nano-tech and grad rates. Thats what these sports boards are all about, bet we would have two posters and mods would ban us first day.

EE you still haven't told us all where you are from.

There are tons of positives in Tech athletics or dealing with Tech in general. Where were you when Tech beat Southern Illinois? How about when the Lady Techsters clinched atleast a share of the WAC regular season crown? Maybe you just are not a basketball fan so why don't we talk about the Fresno State football game?

To sum up...you could talk about Ryan Moats, Paul Millsap, huge basketball wins, huge football wins, Lady Techsters, academic success, or anything else positive.

And you talk about...GEOGRAPHY. Now who should get banned?

Where did you go to school? Why are you afraid to answer the question?

Obviously he wants to turn this thread into proverbs so that is how I will try and talk to him.

If you look into your own heart, and you find nothing wrong there, what is there to worry about? What is there to fear?

I think it is plainly obvious why he refuses to tell us anything. Sun Tzu says "If you know the enemy and know yourself you need not fear the results of a hundred battles."

Why does anyone care where he went to school? It is obvious he won't say because they are in worse shape than Tech. His agenda against Tech is because Tech has out-performed his school. If he were to tell where his allegiance lies, someone as sick as he is could spend the hours he spends finding negatives on his school...which obviously outweigh the negatives of Tech. That's why he will never admit he is a Northwestern State fan. He feels that if he can't be one of the big boys, he can just follow the Tech crowd around and try to explain that Tech isn't one of the big boys either. It is really pathetic, but it is his only way to stay involved in the world of big-time athletics.

What he ultimately wants is for Tech to drop back down to 1AA in football to compete with the little team from Natchitoches. It bothers him greatly that Tech has moved onward and upward while Northwestern St has remained in obscurity. He knows that if Tech gets into CUSA it will be all over for him. Because he has no power in the real world, he can only visit message boards on the internet to try to disuade anyone possible from allowing this to happen. His whole reason for existence is to prevent this from happening. If he were a fan of Southern Miss or LSU he wouldn't care less what La Tech's attendance is. The opposite of love is not hate...it is indifference. He hates Tech. As sad as it is, he has actually dedicated much of his life to the study La Tech's athletic programs so that he can point out "the truth" to anonymous posters of message boards who attend/attended school or are fans of non-BCS athletic programs. The only 2 schools in existence that hate Tech with the passion of Eager Eagle are ULM and Northwestern St.

Eager, Tech has done too well to fall back to your school's level. Give it up. It's over. You'd have a much better chance of following the ULM gang around and getting them back to 1AA. Here's an idea....Why not try to concentrate your energies to get Northwestern to step up to the Sun Belt instead of concentrating on getting Tech or ULM back down to the Southland Conference? If ULM can step it up, why not Northwestern? I know Northwestern has to have as many fans as ULM, and they seem like they can make it in 1A. Sure, it has been tougher on ULM to be in 1A than it has Tech, but they have been in 1A for 10 years or so and it appears they are going to make it. I'm sure the Sun Belt would love to have Northwestern in their league. Why wouldn't they want to step it up?

I have to admit that is the funniest post I have ever read, it is more comical than most of the stuff on the La Tech board. Go back to the drawing boards and try again.
