RE: CMU @ Akron
Each MAC division winner is guaranteed a bowl berth, so long as they have a winning record after the MACC.

CMU-clinched.
Miami- must defeat either Ohio U or CMU

We certainly didn't last week, Dave. 03-puke Worst performance of the season on that side of the ball, IMHO. We held Ball State and Toledo to fewer points! 03-banghead Belated congrats.

The defense actually did show today, and while I'm not happy about the numerous penalties -- especially the dumb late hits 03-banghead -- and the couple of big runs we allowed for scores, it was OK. Only 26 points given up, discounting the Akron defensive TD, on the road.

We got freakin' lucky, as we have on multiple occasions. Our gd defense will gave away everything our offense earns in a New York second!04-jawdrop

It could be worse, CE. We could have Nebraska's Efense. Or Toledo's. 03-lmfao Did you see what Colorado did to it yesterday? Not to mention the 76 that Kansas laid on the CornHuskers (and we thought 52 was bad!)

All I remember about the Toledo game was Opelt, throwing like his offense was the only team on the field. And Kansas would have hung 70+ on us if we had played them later in the season. 52 for the opener was just idling for them.
