8th or 9th, we're still in a dead heat with the scumptious MWC with a good shot at 2 in come Selection Sunday.

I couldn't be more delighted at the outcome of Saturday's games.

This conference is as killer as they come at MBB.

And people are noticing.

Yee 02-13-banana haaaaaawwwww!

Realtimerpi looks like they are using non-conf. RPI to rate conferences and not overall RPI.

We have SJSU and Idaho that have very low RPI's (below 250) that are dragging the WAC down. The MWC only has TCU.

Here is the breakdown

Air Force 49 << Nevada 25
Brigham Young 56 << USU 50
San Diego St. 59 >> La Tech 60 (Barely)
Nevada Las Vegas 92 << Hawaii 85
New Mexico 109 << NMSU 101
Colorado St. 131 >> Fresno 135
Utah 146 >> Boise 154
Wyoming 172 >> SJSU 267
Texas Christian 279 >> Idaho 306

The bottom 2 WAC teams have pulled the WAC down a little. But even with that it is still almost even in the overall ratings.

What's the old RPI formula? The only change I know that was made to the RPI formula was that they added a bonus for road wins--but since they didn't publish what that formula was--it's impossible for any of the RPI imitators to implement that in their calculations.

The differences you see between RPIs like Pomeroy and CBS Sportsline is that one takes out a team's wins/losses against them when factoring out opponent's WL percentates and the other doesn't.

Regardless of the source the rankings still shake out about the same either way. The WAC is doing very well.

No, the home/road adjustment is clearly spelled out. As Pomeroy puts it, "each home win or road loss get multiplied by 0.6 in the winning percentage calculation. A home loss or road win is multiplied by 1.4. Neutral games count as 1.0." He has a more complete explanation here.

There were supposedly additional adjustments that the NCAA used, but didn't publish (the record-against-top-50 types of things).

Your second statement is true.
