There is NO other team in this league that has more respect than what I have for NMSU! You have done what has only been done 9 other times is the last 7 YEARS in Logan. MUCHO PROPS Southern Aggies. You have just joined an elite group!
Meanwhile, the N. Aggies, lose at home, once again to a team they have no business losing to in Logan. Damn those automatic wins!!!!!!!! They kill us EVERY YEAR!
I feel bad now for Northwestern St. and Nevada..............you don't KNOW the meaning of the word WRATH!

NMSU is a good team but for some reason I thought the tonight's game might be a landmined game especially how bad NMSU looked at here on Thursday night.
If Nevada wins the next 2 conference games, I think the USU/Nevada game could be a must win for USU now.

The game on thursday was that NMSU has a total melt down in the second half. It could of been they got tired, but who knows. Tonight team was a totally different team from what you saw in Nevada on thursday.

Yup. USU has to run the table now. If Nevada doesn't win the tourney, I still think they get an at-large.
But, then again, it's going to be tough for Nevada not to win it all.
They're really starting to dominate at home.

The good news is that looking at their schedule, USU has a great chance to run the table. It isn't over for them by any means, yet.

I think if Utah St can win all their regular season games they will be in a good position and I think if they only lose one and that being Nevada it could be still good but will depend where they finish in the WAC. If they finish second I think they still hve a shot but any lower than than NIT again I think is for USU.
However things are far from over.

One of our fans did a careful analysis of what USU's approximate RPI ranking would be for each possible W-L scenario for USU's remaining games. At this point, I think we can still be a realistic at-large contender if we don't lose more than one game. We could even get an at-large bid with two more losses provided we picked up a quality win or two in the WAC tournament. Any more than that and we're headed to the NIT.

I think USU can still have a shot at an at large bid if they lose one more game this season but that would depend on who it would be against.
However if USU loses in the first round of the WAC tournament that would go out the window. I think a realisitc shot would be going all the way to the finals of the tournament.
