A Little Love for Bowling Green, Please?
I've said it more than once: BG deserves a lot more dap than they're getting for beating Belmont. The Bruins just went to Tuscaloosa and beat the Tide on their home court, giving them away wins against the Big Least and the SEC.

And, again, BG beat them.

It was a nice win. Watch out for Louis Orr. This will not be the BG of the last several years.

Dakich era is over and you will see a lot more parity in the East and Kent State will have a very difficult time extending their 20 win streak. East is just too tough to do that.

Chris Knight looks like the real deal and they have some nice size. Strange story, Dakich's. Looked like he would make 'em forget Harold Anderson at first and then appeared unwilling to adjust his style when he returned to BG after the WVU fiasco. If Orr can take the collection of guys Dakich had and be succesfull it will say a lot about both Dakich and him. On the other hand a big year or two and people will come knocking.

I get the feeling Orr is very comfortable in Bowling Green. I don't see him eager to take a job that would take him too far away from Michigan or Ohio.

I tend to agree with that notion...the guy spent a lifetime on the road in the NBA and he experienced the ups and downs of major college coaching already. At this point, I could see him settling in for awhile in a lower keyed atmosphere close to home.

Her family lives in Ypsilanti, his in Cincinnati. He talk at his press conference upon being hired was that both families would have a chance to be more a part of the family life.

We may have really lucked out with this one.

Did anyone notice the orange stressball he was working last Saturday?

Belmont also got blown out by a 1-2 Austin Peay team. The Bruins had two close games against Western Carolina and Samford.Too early in the season to tell how good any team is or will be down the stretch.
NIU and BG should both be improved just by the coaching changes.
