Kent Rivals board - pay to post?
So I have tried to access the Kent State Rivals board at KentSportsReport.com and they want me to upgrade my account to post. Now I have been paying Rivals for over 2 years for the "privledge" to post on their boards, but it seems on the Kent board I no longer can (however Temple's free board is fine). Are we really at a point where MAC teams are able to charge $$$ to talk about thier sports programs? Or have I been banned for posting links to relevant content that their users are genuinely interested in?

No, you weren't banned.

I made a decision to drop the open message boards from my site. It was a personal decision, one I know is going to hurt traffic, but I'm perfectly content with that.

I'm sorry you feel slighted that you can't promote your site on the board.

What he said.
The free board ("Blue and Gold Lounge") was discontinued after our last game when some personal insults toward people connected to KSU athletics were deemed out of line. The "Flash Point" board has always been a subscription board and is frequented by a small but loyal group of fans, parents, and even some folks from the athletic department. The general action has moved back to the KSU board here.

Not sure why people are allowed to start threads to discuss and/or bash Rivals, then moderators come on with with guns a blazing trying to rip Rivals, it just doesn't seem fair.

If you really had a legitimate question you needed answered I'm sure you know who runs the board and where to contact him or even a PM here, but it looks like you needed an audience more than an answer.
