Why do people write scUM? I've never met uofm students that i thought were scum. Most are extremely nice. The only problem i've had my entire college experience visiting AA (every other weekend, GF is a recent grad) was with a western student. (Go figure)

I can see this argument going on forever. Let's start something new. Who's going to Georgia next fall? I'm in!

I will be there for sure! It is only about an hour and a half from there and my boss knows some people who know some people and can get a great tailgating spot. I am very excited about this one!

I really do not like seeing us play more than one payday game a year against what at least on paper is a far superior opponent. To me the chance to get a home and home with MSU was a real feather in our hats, afterall, we already had what should be a huge payday game on the schedule with Meechigan, I think, they gave App. State, 700K to kick their butts, so I sure hope we get at least that much when go to the Outhouse.
Georgia at home on Sept. 6th if that is the date will be a real challenge, the weather will be brutal. With close to 80 in the forecast for the Clemson game on Saturday in the second half of October one can only guess what our kids will have to deal with in Athens.

Get back to us when you enter the workforce and have to deal with scUM alumni on a daily basis.

Alright, I know many of you are talking about the payouts and such, but I wanted to comment on Georgia itself. They are gonna be deadly scary next year. Georgia obviously is a top-shelf program, but they are loaded with dynamic young players. Matthew Stafford is gonna be the best QB in the country next year. UGA is gonna be sickly good next year.

Stafford will be the second best QB on the field in that game!

Has anyone considered that maybe Heeke wants Lefevour to get more national attention? Wasn't he the AD at Oregon when Joey "Blue Skies" was featured in Times Square?

Granted the odds of beating a top shelf team such as georgia are slim.

Not only does it showcase are tremendous QB it also puts CMU to the country and helps recruiting a little bit depending on the outcome.
At least it did for other MAC QB's in the NFL. examples: Rothlisburger (U of M) and Gradkowski (Pitt and minnesota)
