D-I teams barred from playing non-collegiate opponents in men's basketball

INDIANAPOLIS -- Major colleges will no longer be allowed to schedule men's exhibition basketball games against non-collegiate opponents, such as foreign teams, AAU clubs or Athletes in Action.

I saw this in the paper today and thought it was a stupid waste of time. What exactly is the harm in playing Athletes in Action in an exhibition game?

Somebody needs to give these NCAA guys more to do than sit around pulling this stuff out of their :arse:

Boise State has been playing the little NAIA team down the road for an exhibition game the last couple of years. Now I guess we will try to play 2 NAIA teams for exhibition. Should be exciting for NAIA teams all around the nation to play area NCAA d1 teams that they normally would not play.
