Chances are very good that 2 undefeated team will meet in Bronco stadium in October. Just hope that ABC will pick up the game.

I really love how Fresno's Schedule lines up.

Fresno's next toughest challenges will be @LaTech and @Boise. And they have a bye before each game. Not to mention they get LaTech after LaTech has been beaten up by Miami and Tennessee.

Boise has it slightly tougher. While I don't think they'll have much trouble disposing of UTEP, they need to travel home and face revenge-minded BYU 6 days later. @Tulsa could be tougher too (Esp. since Tulsa gave them moderate trouble in Boise last year) but it's unknown how good or bad Tulsa is at this point.

In either case, both will possibly be double digit favorites all the way until they play each other. I'd be more worried about the Fresno-Boise winner being knocked off by Rice or Hawaii after they win.

I hope the WAC fans all get behind Fresno and Boise State this season. The Broncs and Dawgs have the best chance at a BCS berth if Utah gets knocked off.

If Fresno wins in Boise, I will cheer for Fresno the rest of the way! We need one of us to go undefeated!!!!!!

You can count on that from me. I'd love to see one of you crash the BCS party. 04-cheers

Hate to say it broncobob, but if I had to decide now I'd pick Fresno as my team to root for because we don't play them this year. They can go undefeated and not hurt us one bit. Can't say that about the Broncs. Nothing personal. :D

04-cheers

There is no doubt in my mind that both of these teams will be undefeated when they meet. However, when the Dawgs go home it will be with a hard earned loss to their count. It is going to be a hell of a game.

We'll know more about Tulsa after this weekend. Our offense has not been good, but our defense has been surprisingly good. Offense and special teams gave the KU game away (safety, int returned inside 5, blocked punt inside 20, fumble at 35, KO return to 45). To have all that and only give up 21pts is good. OSU game was only 17-7 midway through 3rd and we had given them the FG by fumbling in our own end. And the TOP around this time was like 27-15min in OSU's favor. Defense finally wore down against the pounding.

Navy might run, but they arent going to pound it at you like OSU. If our offense can get ANYTHING figured out, we have a chance to be good. Easily as good or better than last year. The question is, "Can they?". I am hoping they are just rusty and out of rhythm and two opening Big12 road games were tough places to get in rhythm.

Tulsa is scary for Boise, cuz Kempthorne is a great coach and Tulsa has 2 weeks to get ready for the game. Great coaches with 2 weeks to prepare have a great advantage. Add that to Tulsa's number 1 goal this year is to Beat Boise and you have the makings of a great game in Tulsa!!!!

Well, as a Rice fan I'm in the exact opposite situation, so it all evens out in the end.

Anyway, I can definitely get behind the Broncos and the Fresdawgs this year. I want to see *someone* bust open the BC$... preferably someone from the WAC or C-USA. Give 'em hell! 04-cheers

Me Too! Down with the BCS! Open the door to all!

This game is not currently on the TV schedule. Will ABC pick it up if both teams stay undefeated???? Or maybe ESPN?????

So the question was, Can our offense get anything figured out? And the answer was no.

Against a smaller unathletic defense that wasnt stacking the line to stop the run... we couldnt run. Our RB's combined for 20 carries for 36yds.

This might be a long season for TU if the offense continues at this pace. Whats odd is we ran well last year and controlled a lot of games. And we only lost one OL to graduation.

It looks like the Hbowl defeat has really took the heart out of Tulsa for this season....or.... maybe Tulsa is not sneaking up on anyone this season!

I was a big Tulsa supporting before they headed off for CUSA! I will still be a supporter of the eastern WAC teams in CUSA, but I will not forgive UTEP for leaving the WAC!!!!

In a way, it's flattering to be hated for leaving the party. It would have been nice if the WAC powers (ie. Fresno, Boise, Hawaii) had committed to the WAC and all remaining teams (SMU, Tulsa, and Rice would have left anyway) had also committed to making the WAC a superior conference to the MWC. But, as everyone knows, the WAC powers failed to commit because they wanted instant fame by going to the MWC. What does this say about the WAC? Well, these schools obviously thought and still think the WAC is inferior to the MWC and, if asked, will leave the WAC also. Meanwhile the MWC is so smug, they slighted all the WAC teams and asked TCU to join. What does that say about the MWC? A little arrogant maybe? They deserved to be put in their place by the WAC but some WAC schools didn't think that way and now they get what they deserve. jemoticon(':(')

UTEP was willing to make the commitment but Fresno, Boise, and Hawaii were not - even though UTEP pushed for it. Had UTEP stayed in the WAC, sooner or later, they would have been the ones saying they hate [whomever] for leaving the WAC and going to the MWC. This happened to UTEP once before, they weren't going to let it happen again. Once bitten twice shy.

Many look at UTEP as the Flagship University of the WAC. The longest term member of the WAC!!! It is very sad to lose that tradition of WAC and UTEP.

I am really sorry to see UTEP leave for the scattered CUSA.

Also don't like UTEP to be replaced with Idaho and their 16,000 seat stadium!

UTEP made a big, big mistake! They have little tradition with most CUSA schools! Good Luck against Marshall!!!!

Believe me, many at UTEP would have liked to have stayed in the WAC but others schools in the WAC left UTEP no choice. Whether it's a mistake, only time will tell. The CUSA schools are, for the most part, up and coming schools and the conference has a lot of potential. Also, their games are held at times more advantagous for TV exposure. Many of the CUSA schools already play well known big schools in the East and Southeast, so there are definite advantages to being in CUSA.

The MWC has suffered from lack of exposure due to the times they play. Yes, they are on ESPN a lot but only we in the West get to see them and people back East could care less about them. It didn't help that their teams didn't do so hot last year either. Still, the MWC schools consider themselves superior to the WAC schools - so much so, they jumped over them to get TCU - that HAD to be a real wakeup call to WAC schools. I don't believe they are likely to court any WAC schools in the near future unless they lose some teams to the PAC10 (its possible they may court Boise State if BSU continues excelling in sports and it expands its football stadium). It is also possible they may go after Houston to keep TCU company but if CUSA lives up to its potential, Houston will not leave. TCU probably made a bad mistake leaving CUSA and it's possible they may return after enduring exile to the west for a while. I don't see why the PAC10 would consider expanding, they are doing fine as is.

The WAC is definitely having to scrape by now. If Boise State and Fresno State weren't doing so well in football and Nevada and UTEP hadn't done so well in basketball, the news coming out of the WAC would be nonexistent. By the way, the MWC really only has Utah (and possibly San Diego State (not in top 25)) to brag about right now. New Mexico is fairly good but the NMSU Aggies are going to take care of them for us Saturday. That should be a real war. Go AGGIES! For now, I'm afraid the MWC's vision of itself is quite different from the reality. They are probably in denial.
