Fresno St and Boise St have a legit shot at making the BCS. Question is... will either of the two teams get up every week (reference BYU)?

It's just not possible to be "up" for every game. Boise and Fresno will have multiple letdowns during the season. Right now it's just a matter of them being good enough to win despite not being "up" for the game. (Or maybe the team that they are "down" for is just that bad)

I do think that when all is said and done, BYU will be better than people think. (BYU has the #1 schedule in the nation according to Sagarin, and their one loss--Stanford doesn't look bad anymore)
I think Boise is in the clear until Fresno though. Neither SMU nor Tulsa seem like they can throw the ball very well. (The secondary being Boise's weakness)

Fresno had better worry about LaTech this weekend. Even Tennessee was unable to totally contain Ryan Moats.

The only problem is that they will both lose on national TV at home against Hawaii. :bluethumb: It might throw a horseshoe into the situation.....hehe I'm just playing but don't count the Warriors out yet! We will start the comeback trail against Tulsa this week and build up some momentum for the Halloween weekend against Boise St. What is it like on Halloween in Boise?

Scott, you have to start posting more. I can't get enough of your special photos. I think the Broncos and Bulldogs will both be undefeated going into their matchup on the 23rd.
Then the WAC will have to get behind the winner of that game and hope they go the rest of the way undefeated.

Tulsa had a great passing game last year. It should return in time to make the Boise State very interesting.

The remaining roadblocks to a Boise State undefeated season are Tulsa, Fresno and Hawaii. Nevada could also be tough on the road and La Tech is always a tough game for the Broncos.

I genuinely do not believe that Boise State was not "up" for B.Y.U. last Friday. The Broncos WERE "up" for that game. You could tell they were "up" in the first quarter of that game.

However, you have to give credit to B.Y.U. and also reevaluate B.Y.U.'s 1-3 record so far because of the way they played in that game. Think about it......B.Y.U. had ZERO turnovers in that game against Boise State, and THAT is impressive. Secondly, B.Y.U.'s one win this season was against a Notre Dame team that went on to defeat both Michigan and Michigan State immediately after thier loss to B.Y.U. Thirdly, B.Y.U.'s three losses were to U.S.C. (the # 1 team in the nation and the defending national champion) and to Stanford (who later gave U.S.C. all they could handle and very nearly beat USC) and a one point loss to Boise State on Boise State's home (blue) turf. B.Y.U. may just be the best 1-3 team in the nation at this point. Give B.Y.U. some credit. They are NOT as bad as their record would have one believe at first glance.

Amen to that BoiseStateRules! The Cougars showed at Boise that they aren't dead yet, and Utah had better take notice if they want to remain undefeated. I think BYU has the best chance to upset Utah's run this year. That game is always a dogfight, and no matter how good one team is compared to the other, the outcome is a tossup.

Regardless, the BYU/Boise State matchup was one of the best games of the year so far, IMHO. I live in BCS territory and everybody I talk to said the same thing.

Go BCS busters! :saber:
