Big-12 and Pac-10 discuss challenge
[Image: Pac10-logo-140.gif]
Quote:The Big 12 and Pac-10 are continuing to discuss a possible early-season basketball series, similar to the ACC-Big 10 Challenge, that might debut in the 2007-08 season.

Officials from the leagues are exploring playing 12 games over four days in late November or early December. Since the Big 12 has two more teams, two Pac-10 teams would play two games, one at home and one on the road.

"There is interest on both sides in moving this forward," Burda said.

It will give plenty of additional coverage. THe ACC Big 10 Challenge has worked out pretty well over the years and I think the same will happen if the Big 12 and PAC 10 can get this thing together.

The problem is, the pac 10 and B12 dont have the depth as the big 10/ACC. Plus west coacst times.

The Big 12 will have some depth in a few years. And if Mayo goes to USC they will have one team with "depth." Did I just say that? 01-wingedeagle

Yeah I know UCLA is pretty good too.
