WAC fans, consider having your schools message board Admin link this site and maybe the Fresno site that has the same format. These are the two sites that have the most familiar monikers I recognize. It's time to start talking a little more football. Wolf Pack Chat has put this site into their quick links.

I wish someone would contact the administrator that ran the former Owlzone WAC board to ask about taking it over. I really liked that board's format. You could readly see the newly added day to day posts. With this board and others I've seen recently, you have to memorize the "number" of posts from the previous day to see if new posts have been added. Then if there is, you have to scroll all the way down past the previous day's posts to read them. Not a very good format in my opinion.

Click on the "mark this forum as read" at the top of the messages. Only then new messages will show as new. The threads with new messages always migrate to the top of the forum, so you should not have to look through the previously read messages.

The little blue checkboxes in the message list should disappear as you read the messages.

broncobob I don't see no such thing as "mark this forum as read" any where on this board.

broncobob, I just found the "mark this forum as read" link. But I still don't quite understand how its supposed to work. When I clicked on it, it took me to what seems to be this board's homepage. I then had to click on the "WAC Conference Talk" link to get back here again. Did going through that process change anything? Please explain.

New messages have a little blue box with a checkmark. When you clicked on the Mark Forum as Read, it removed all of the blue boxes. Now when you visit, you need only to read the messages with the blue boxes. As you read those messages, the blue boxes should disappear, showing only those messages that remain unread.

Never use the back button on forums or the messages will not be marked as read.

Rice folks are stumped about that too... all of Owlzone has been down for a while now, and as far as I know, no one's heard anything about if/when it's coming back. I sent an email to Woods (Owlzone admin) a couple months ago but never heard back from him. 03-confused I figure it will be back -- we just don't know when.

It does look like a lot of the folks from Owlzone have made it over here, which is good! 04-cheers
