The emergence of Brian Bannister
Do ya think Minaya'd like to have this guy back?

12-6 with a 3.16 ERA in the AL and for one of the worst teams in baseball. Not exactly the best trade of all time.

RE: The emergence of Brian Bannister
wasnt much room for him

he was trying to devolop pelfrey and hummer, i guess they both didnt pan out.

Glavine
Pedro
Maine
Perez
El Duque

post season rotation will be interesting, i guess pedro will have to work himself in. Perez and Maine are the only ones that can go past 6 innings

we'll see. Minaya has done so great trades through

Nady for Perez and Hernedez (relief)
Benson for Maine and Lugo
Lugo for El Duque
Seo for Sanchez(DL)

and hell i might be wrong about Alou (as long as hes helthy in the post season)

RE: The emergence of Brian Bannister
forgot who we trade him for. was suppose to be a fireball relief pitcher. didnt pan put, but we definitely need help in the pen

He will be in the mix for rookie of the year.

Has 12 wins for a team that is 23rd of 30 in MLB.

Best ERA for a rookie.

I was lukewarm about this trade initially because I saw his potential in his first few starts before getting hurt last year. But, was convinced by the reports that we were better off with a better BP with with very high reward potential from Burgos.

In a year we have been struggling and in need of that "one more" starting pitcher, we could have used him.......he is also a very good hitter (.300+ hitter potential)
