DeJuan Blair
6-7, 240, PF out of Pittsburgh

He's Herb Pope's AAU teammate. Lists us as high along with 4 other schools (Wake Forest, Indiana, Pitt, and Miami). He also has offers from Cincy, Xavier, and West Virginia. The fact that Sampson can't call or come off campus helps us a little. It might be tough getting him out of Pennsylvania however.

When I saw he was only three stars, I thought 03-yawn but after seeing his offers, I'm a little more 03-2thumbsup .

Like Herb Pope, De Juan Blair is another J.O. Stright protegee having played on Stright's AAU team for the past couple years. The word on the street is that Blair and Pope don't really get along too well, as it is said that any of Pope's teammates don't get along with him too well. I think Blair would be a very solid pick-up for KSU. He is said to be very athletic and can play either the SF or PF positions. Huggs has 3 or 4 more scholarships to give, so let's hope one goes De Juan's way!

To be honest, I'd probably take him over Pope. Unless its all an act for the media, Pope sounds like a little bit of a head case to me.

Pope does seem like a problem child. I still wish Huggs had a top pg lined up besides some OJ pipe dream.

I'm sure he does. Either high school, JUCO, or one of each. But it seems Bop doesn't always tell us what he is thinking...

I really want Blair. He is a 4 year player and is a Huggs type player in the mold of Maxiell, Hicks, and Fortson. I also want AJ Stewart.
