Tyree Evans?
Isn't today the day Tyree's trial is to be continued? Just where is that prep school/trial located at? Is it in New Hampshire? Man, I would love to see this situation resolved, and hopefully in Tyree's favor, but if Huggs is holding that last scholarship for him we need to find out, one way or the other, if he will be in Manhattan this fall.

Glad we don't have to worry about this one. 05-stirthepot Even though I'm sure he's gonna be a hell of a player. Huggs should also try to convince Banks to come to KSU. What a 2 guard tandem that'd be. Should've been here last year.

Who is "we"? Cincinnati fans? If so, no, you have nothing to worry about if it concerns any of the better players out there. Mickey, although he has landed a number of warm 'bodies', has yet to get a recruit that can actually compete in the Big East. Maybe he needs to take a step ladder out on the recruiting circuit so he can talk eye-to-eye with these guys...

Just stirring the pot a little Snart. No harm meant. It's true Mick has yet to get a quality HS recruit, but give him time, he's only been on the major circuit for a couple of months. He's already gotten a McD AA under his belt, albeit, a transfer. He might be a short Irish lad, but he sure as hell has proven he can coach and recruit. We'll be fine. Good luck with the "alleged" rapist. ;-)

Yea, Ziggy, I know. I'm just trying to stir the pot too! Hey, it's been a boring day.

But... I just keep rolling your remarks over and over in my mind, and I guess my disconnect is trying to envision some young, talented, African-American kid trying to relate to and trust some sawed-off, whiter-that-white Irish dude that has never been there before, or proven that he can get there, with the kid's future? Did Murray State all of a sudden become some basketball Mecca and nobody told me about it? Or did the NCAA come up with a new rule that lets kids have another four years of eligibility when they find out they signed with a program that won't even sniff the NIT's during their college career? Wow, I evidentially missed a lot of college basketball news last winter when I sat out the year.

I think you're underestimated the short irish dude a bit. We won't know how good he's doing for a couple years (next year will be a good indication), but he's apparentley been extremely influental on a number of recruits, here's Eshaunte Jones:

Quote:Jones said his play during the spring schedule helped his confidence and his recruitment. Jones said he has a top four. Indiana, Cincinnati, UCLA and Purdue sit atop Jones's list at the moment. All but UCLA have offered, he said.

"I like Cincinnati's new staff. I haven't met them personally but they all seem like good guys. I'll probably taking an unofficial visit to them soon. I like the new IU staff a lot. They are all really good guys," Jones said.

Plus, I remember Satterfield saying that the reason why he came to UC was because of Mick. Now I know that it was mainly because of Huggs, but you have to recognize the dude could recruit. And in case you've missed the past couple years, Mick's Murray St. teams have fielded a couple of good ball clubs. Last year they almost took out UNC in the tourney.

Yep. Should Kenny have gone elsewhere I would have missed seeing him dribble all those balls off his feet, or miss those ill advised, last second stupid shots that cost UC several games. 05-stirthepot

Almost. Yeah, yeah. Hey, last year I 'almost' had sex with Angelina Jolie. Almost...

And hey, the word on the steet is that you're drunk right now! I'm jealous...

Who told you I was drunk? lmfao Hey, Kenny made one last second shot, against Memphis. I remember a buddy of mine who was a trainer on the team. He overheard the dialogue between Huggs and Satt before the final play. Satt, "what should I do coach?" Huggs, "try making one for a change." lmfao I'd pass on Angelina too. She's becoming too much, ahhh what's the word, too invovled, too pop-culture, too everywhere, too passe perhaps. She's worn out her welcome in my book. Now that Kate Beckinsale, she's an attractive lady.

I never said Cronin was a bad coach or couldnt recruit, I honestly couldve cared less if UC got Roy Williams or Phil Jackson. With that said, anybdy who says Cronin is better basketball coach and knows more about basketball than Huggins is an idiot. Mick may have good recruiting contacts, but doesnt know half of what Huggs knows about hoops. Also, I thought he was supposed to be recruiting boy scouts and spelling bee champs, but now there are apparently 4 kids he has signed that dont have their grades up yet to even qualify.
