RE: High School Football Thread
Scorezone at IHSA.org has it all (when it's updated) Otherwise you'd have to cruise various local paper websites.

You are fantastic! Thanks for the score link.

I am excited about Aurora Christian for two reasons... #1 my kids go to school there, therefore, my money goes there. #2 their QB is amazing. This kid started varsity as a freshmen and threw 16 TD's. He threw another 31 as a sophmore. Now he is a junior and getting looks from ND, UCLA and others. The Illinois state TD passing record is 92. If this kid just throws another 30 TD's this year and again in his senior year - he will shatter the state record.

You can also visit EDGYTIM. There's a free football board where there's a pinned thread for all the scores. Look under "Mesage Boards" and "More Boards:" and select "Edgy's lost his mind......"

thanks asshol
on an 80 yard trick play with 1min to go is a weak way to win
everyone left that stadium knowing JC was the better team. They will definately win state but 13-1 is not good enough especially when you lose to the Caravan. very disappointed to say the least

Bob Stoops? Is that you? A win is a win is a win is a win. Good work Mt. Carmel to take down JC. I may hate JC more than Toledo.

If NIU beat Iowa next weekend on an 80 yard trick play with 1min to go, you wouldn't think it was weak. You'd be celebrating your a$$ off that NIU found a way to win.

something about the worlds smallest violin playing for you...

When you're talking about high school, at the end of the day playing and improving are good enough. The rest is insanity.

The best teams usually win. The best teams especially win close games. I didn't see the game, but if it was that close the entire game, I don't think either team really could have stood out as being that much better.

Game of the Week: Waubonsie Valley vs. WW South Waubonsie has chance to make true statement

Waubonsie made a lot of noise beating Naperville Central last week. Can they knock off another DVC team???

RE: 2007 High School Football Thread
My high school (Montini) opened its season last week ending Springfield Griffin's 28 game winning streak, and defeated long-time rival Benet Academy 33-0 last night. For a school of 700 kids they have three kids already commited to the D1 (Ohio State, Wiisconsin and Northwestern) schools. I guess the "recruiting" has gotten better since I was in school.

DeKalb has a really good running back, but that's about it. Sycamore should win that game by 20 or so, unless of course they choose to forget there is a 2nd half and get outscored 28-0 in it like last week.
