Football Camp Update?
So after this week, I guess prep work begins for the Pitt game.
So inquiring minds want to know after Saturday's scrimmage?
1. Have all the starting positions been settled? Last I heard WRs were Lewis, Gage? and Stone, Demaster and Johnson were still battling for the OL spot, Rock is right on Schmitt being the starter, it looks like Walker/Priest will split carries, I think Spenser Smith is at the open DL end (is he bigger than 6'1, 230?), Hatchett and Selmon were fighting at the LB and it seemed to me that the CBs were still in question.
2. I heard that the all freshmen DL held their own. So what freshmen were most impressive in camp? How's B. Davis doing?
3. So far no response on walk ons. Might have to wait until the opening game to see if any made the team.
4. Any more defections? If we get through this training camp with only one defection, it will be a major achievement.
Thanks for anyone with info to share. I'm ready for kickoff!

#1..Look for Beard and when he`s healthy, Mitchell to see alot of time at the WR spots. Never any doubt about Schmitt being starter, Jones will see some time in the backfield and at WR, Dline looking as J. Jones, Hunt, Young and Smith...Htachett seems to have ecge at LB...#2..The freshman Dlineman are all looking good, they are holding their own against the 2nd team o-line, but are pretty much out matched against the 1st team, but they dont quit and have alot of energy, mostly impressed by Brockman at DE and Palsrock at DT..other impressive freshman are (of course), Priest, I also like Jayson Jones and Goodrum at RB, very quick...#3..Not sure how many walk-on are out there, Im sure Hoover is, he looked like he had a cast on his ankle Saturday, and Im not sure, but maybe someine can correct me if Im wrong, but I believe Belmonte at Kicker is a walk-on, he looked pretty good also, good leg, made a couple nice FG`s Saturday.....Didnt hear anything about Shrieves leaving....

RE: Football Camp Update?
How does the offensive scheme look? Last year EMU seemed to run the option (or whatever it's called in the spread) on every other play. All those QB keepers are why the QBs led the team in rushing.
Any changes?
