Coach Martin
I saw coach in the Student Union with his family today. He looked really good. I'm glad to see him back on his feet.

Oh, and Amoroso is on campus today. Huggins was late for a Catbackers luncheon and said he was entertaining a recruit that was going to walk-on next season. Not sure if he was referring to Amoroso or not as he turned down Minnesota for a walk-on spot, plus he'll have to sit out a year (so "walk-on" wouldn't make sense). People at the meeting said that Huggins didn't go into any other details, especially due to the media being present

The walk-on he was with could be Ryan Patzwald. He was a walk-on at Cincinnati and I heard he was transferring to K-State.

You seem to be close to the Athletic Department. Can I ask what you do or your position that allows you to be so close to everything?

Not in the athletic department. If I was, I wouldn't be able to share stuff with you since they make those in the AD sign a non disclosure agreement stating you won't share stuff on message boards (mainly thanks to GPC). lmfao

I guess when you're in college you make friends and mine just happen to be on the basketball team. I'm sure Ryan will be over at either my or one of my friends houses for a party once school starts again. 04-cheers

UC, are you in college at Cincy? Let me know if you're thinking about coming to Manhattan for a game.

I actually just graduated high school in Cincinnati. Next year I am going to a small school called Cincinnati State to study PC Admin and Support. It is only a two year school but I plan to transfer to a big university to get my degree. I refused to goto Cincinnati with the current Administration and I couldn't see myself fitting in at Xavier. I actually have thought about coming to Manhattan. Might have to be during Christmas break if I do do it. And I actually have given thought to transfering to KSU in 2 years but thats two years away, alot can change. But I will be at the Xavier game for sure. Thanks for the offer.

If you like a rural type of college setting, you will dig Manhattan. I spent my last 2 years of college running on the track team. I will say, with no doubt that the KSU teams are like one big family.

I was actually recruited to play soccer at Cincinnati State but something messed up happened. I won't talk about the details but my odds of trying out before my Junior year and walking on arn't that great. My family is all from the country so it won't be that big of a change. We shall see. Tahnks for the input all. So how is the KSU soccer team?

I went to UC this past year, it sucks. I think I am going to transfer to either Louisville, NKU, some where else, or maybe just quit school all together.

Jarr, don't do it. Take a step back from the release papers. If you want to stay in Cincinnati, NKU is the place to go. I visited and I liked it alot. I don't know if you want to stay in the Nasty 'Nati or not though.

nah, its more like I just dont like school and would rather get on with my life now. Ill probly just F around for another year and waste more money at school, why not? Ill probly end up staying at crappy UC again shelling out my cash to the Z03-puke. I think it would be sweet to go to KSU though.

Jarr..

Don't quit school, man. Seriously. How far are you in and what major? I make decent money living out here in Cali. And believe me, if I didn't get that bachelor's degree, I wouldn't have this job..

Finish school......you will get more opportunities presented to you then you would if you didn't finish college. Believe me, I hated school as much as anyone and I managed to finish. As silly as this sounds, try really hard to find something that you can learn out of every class you take. It doesn't have to be anything big or exciting... But as long as you pass the class and can stash some knowledge away in your brain, then it was worth it. 03-idea

I dont think jarr is really thinking about quiting school all together. Maybe at UC but not all together. You would just have to understand the reason why. Here is one:

I hope your right. For the love of god, this country needs young and educated minds..

I know how much it can suck going to boring classes...but once you get the degree it will all be worth it. Trust me, I bet 90% of the other kids in your boring classes feel the same way. Just gut it out. If you feel that you need a change and want to go out of state for school, try KSU. Of course I don't know your educational/financial background.

Just don't quit school. I wish I could give advice to kids that are on the verge of dropping out. Just know that if you stay and stick it out, you WILL see the light at the end of the tunnel.

No offense Jarr, but leaving UC just because of Nancy is a poor excuse. I know you're a dude of principle, but I must admit the school isn't that bad. It's not like you're dealing with Nancy everyday. It's a really nice school. I mean I've liked it enough to spend 6+ years there. lmfao At least in my major (Poli Sci) the profs. are mostly younger and knowledgable and challanging. I really wished I'd lived on campus though, would have enjoyed the experience much more.

OK, so maybe UC isnt all that bad. But there are many negatives personally that I dont like, especially with the college I went to.
