Week 1, Rutgers
The Good:
Our passing game, I was really impressed with our receivers. I think Joe did really well too, I questioned his decisionmaking at times, but upon further review, it wasn't always his fault(see my comments on Barrington Edwards). On defense, I was happy with the play of our secondary, and that's about it.

The Bad:
Our defense. They got completely dominated all day by the Rutgers O-Line and running game. Our secondary made a countless number of TD-saving tackles. I was confused by our offense at times, I didnt really understand our philosophy or gameplan.

Did anyone else notice that Ronnie Mcgill mysteriously stopped playing, and was replaced by B. Edwards? I hope he didn't re-injure himself, that would suck. Speaking of Mr. Edwards, I understand he's a playmaker, but I would really rather have somebody else back there if Ronnie can't play. His decisionmaking is not good, and that last INT was completely his fault. From what I remember from Spring Practice, we had a large stable of RB, can we please bring somebody else in?

Overall, I'm happy with our offense, especially the passing game. And I'm dissapointed in our defense, except the secondary, who saved this game from being a blowout.

This team reminds me alot of our team from a few years ago when Durant was at QB and our defense was miserable. Let's hope Coach Sanders can get the D turned around!

Go Heels!
