i know it's for a good cause, but a lot of students won't want to spend the $5.00 to attend..

rallycats is sponsoring a trip to pitt on saturday, so i'm imagining that a lot of the hardcore student fans will not be around... here's hoping we get a respectable turnout

The UK thread thing was very informative and Maggard took a matter of fact and neutral approach to the thing.

After reading their thread, the UK fans are thinking Morgan is a slam dunk for UC. We will see. If we get Morgan, I'll buy a pair of adidas shoes to celebrate!

Damn. We need to show some serious support. Hard to ask a top 25 recruit to turn down Alabama, UCLA and Kansas when we have 3,500 people packing the stands.

Maggard is VERY well connected in the recruiting world, and he's an ally I'm glad to have when covering it. UK ties aside of course... 03-lmfao

I realize that he has to be careful and neutral in what he says because he deals with the AAU and HS coaches, the players and their families. Besides, he knows that UK is big time in the tit for tat business...and more. Still, I appreciated his approach.

My wife and I were not going to go, but now I think we will. This is big, really big for UC.

Students should be an optional donation.

We go every year for the kids. I have a pic on my desk of Mike Williams holding up my then 5 year old - both goofing off for the camera at last year's. The kids love it.

RE: Wouldn't cross off Morgan yet.
Found this on BCN about Morgan's visit. Jerry Meyer seems to think it's down to LSU and Alabama, but at least we got the last visit. I've always wanted an NBA-caliber frontline here... Morgan, McClain, and Gates would be incredible!

10/22/07: "J'Mison Morgan, a 6-10 senior center from Dallas South Oak Cliff High, told Rivals.com he had fun on his official visit to Cincinnati over the weekend. He now has completed his NCAA-allotted five visits: to KU, Cincy, UCLA, LSU and Alabama. "It's a nice campus," Morgan said of Cincy. "Everything is real close together, and I was able to watch the team practice and hang out with the players. Coach (Mick) Cronin was telling me I should be an automatic force if I work hard, and there should be immediate playing time. I want to get minutes my freshman year but I don't have to start." Morgan will announce his college choice on his birthday, Nov. 2." - LJWorld.com

Would love to see Morgan end up in a UC jersey. The frontcourt would be LOADED. Gates/Williams and McClain/Morgan and Wilks/Bishop good lord.
