My email to Dan Radakovich, and his response
I emailed Dan, asking him for his thoughts on the "big three" problems with Bobby Dodd.... those being:

1) Chairbacks
2) Huge visitor allotment
3) Bobby Dodd looks incredibly awkward ... nay... ugly. Why wasn't renovation and expansion used to recreate the horseshoe from prior to 1985? Both endzones look just flat out odd and ugly. Bobby Dodd Stadium has a history that merits a beautiful but homey feeling stadium... something similar to Kenan or UVA's stadium.

His reponse:

Quote:Thank you for the note. You have brought up a number of points that I have looked into in my short stint at GT. The Chairback seats on the East side of the stadium are now 92% sold. That compares to the mid 50% sold at this time last year. I hope that the visual is much better during this season. If not... we will reevaluate.

Visitor seating is a tough one we must manage the demand from our visitors with the demand from our fans. I hope that in the near future that we can sell these to Tech fans and lower the number of seats available to visitors.... knowing we will get less at their stadiums as well ... but as of today we are not yet there but it is part of our ticket selling strategy.

The stadium was done by HOK and the GTAA ... I do have some ideas but any changes are bit down the road.

Thanks again for the email.
