Marquette's Ryan Amoroso to Visit
Quote:Ryan Amoroso was part of the Marquette basketball program the past two seasons. Now, the Burnsville, Minn., native is looking for a new home to finish his college basketball career. He has two official visits out of the way and is preparing to take his third trip this weekend when he will head for the Little Apple to see Bob Huggins' program.

Ryan Amoroso will be visiting Manhattan beginning on Sunday.
"I am taking a visit down there this weekend," the 6-foot-8, 230-pound Amoroso said. "I am flying out on Sunday and I will be down there for the 48-hour period I am allowed to be. It is my third visit. I have visited UNLV and San Diego State at this point. I need to set up a couple more trips, but I don't have that done yet."

I saw that earlier.

I dont really see why Huggins would be interested in him, although he'd add versatility to the team.

you can never have too many guys...i wouldnt be suprised if a couple more bench players decide its time to quite when the going gets tough.

I dont think it has anything to do with the Evans situation.

The scholarship would be for the 2007-2008 season where Evans' would be for the upcoming season.

Quote:Amoroso also said he's considering visiting Charlotte and Mississippi and that Miami has also displayed a recent interest in his services. He's also cancelled a previously scheduled trip to New Mexico.

Kansas State is coached by Bob Huggins, who is familiar with Amoroso from his days as coach at Cincinnati. Charlotte coach Bobby Lutz and Mississippi coach Andy Kennedy have also had up-close looks at Amoroso; Lutz when MU and Charlotte played each other as members of Conference USA in 2004-'05 and Kennedy when he was interim coach at Cincinnati last season.

Amoroso visited UNLV last week and has another scheduled for San Diego State.

More schools he is interested are listed above.
